CEX are fine. I’ve bought and sold quite a bit from there in the past, although nothing in the last couple of years. Mainly old phones that I’ve sold them. They do serial number checks, and to sell stuff to them you have to go through a fairly robust account verification process (not necessary if you just buy).

So, my activity didn’t sync at all despite leaving it all night. So I’ve uploaded manually (again) this morning, disconnected the sync between Strava and GC and reconnected them. Will have to test it later to see if it’s working again. Odd.
I’ve created my first route in the OS mapping app, and managed to send to Connect and then my 935. When I’m allowed to go and visit my parents and stay with them, I’ll be doing that route over Dartmoor, and seeing what the ‘navigate’ app is like; although I don’t anticipate actually needing it to find my way!
I have noticed that my sessions are not being uploaded from Garmin to Strava and that training peaks does not connect to Strava either. Anyone noticed this or is due to the switch to Premium?

Forgot to upload my Garmin dual recorded zwift file last night. Saved it earlier this afternoon and it pushed to GC, TP, and strava, all within seconds. So would seem to be resolved for me
Do you need to be using the Garmin cable for a computer to recognise device? My Edge will charge via whatever cable I’m using, but pc doesn’t find it, nor does Garmin Express via (a non-Garmin) ANT USB.
Not sure about Garmin, but I recall having a similar problem with a go pro a few years ago. The cheap lead I had would charge it, but I couldn’t get the data off the gopro.
Don’t know if there are different ‘grades’ of wire or something?
Yes. Cheap shitty cables only have power. Proper USB has 4 wires, positive, ground, positive data and negative data. Some cables are just chargers and dont have the cabling to carry data. It doesnt have to be a Garmin cable but it needs to be a proper USB cable

Wonder if anybody knows the answer to the below -
After moving house recently I have started mapping our routes on strava and loading them to my Edge 800 to follow. It gives you an estimated ‘time to finish’, but im wondering how advanced that is. Does it take in to account that the rest of my ride is mainly downhill and compensate, or does it just look at my avg speed so far and extrapolate that to the remaining distance?
Most of my <2 hr rides at the moment are before work and are basically slightly climbing until I turn around head home. Would be good to start using the estimated time to finish to help plan when trying to rush home for meetings (nice to walk in the house, make a coffee and sit down before dialling in)

Also wondering this, as have started using courses the last month. I suspect it just goes off the distance and a recent average speed, as I was a lot faster than prediction on a recent flat ride. Didn’t find an easy answer from Google.
I guess similar to @Chriswimquestion about the ETA function on the Edges, has anyone ever tried using the PacePro setting on their watch for a run?
Seems like a neat little touch, but i wonder how accurate/realistic it is?
Thinking about giving it a crack (in the backgound, just for interest) next weekend when i’m doing a longish run. See how it copes.
DCR did a review of it. I’ve not yet used it, but he seemed to say it was good. The only challenge is apparently ensuring your course follows precisely the route you are running. Definitely would seem more helpful for lumpy courses where you’re not going to be able to hold a balanced pace

I’m not using it for a workout or a race, well not yet. But if it works well, it could be perfect for long hilly ultras.
ETA - looks like it’s a Fenix 6 feature. 
Fark me, the Forerunner 935 is now £389 at Wiggle; I got mine for £319 back in March.
That’s just list price though isn’t it, I imagine they just need to advertise it at that for a bit to show a “discount” in the sales later. It’s 315 at amazon (or less refurb’d), so they’re not going to sell anyone other than to a more money than sense person.
