Thanks but it give slight conflicting info:
Now I’ve had some coffee, I guess it makes sense to try out my (very old) strap with it.

The other dynamics are ground contact time, stride length, vertical oscillation. So if she just wants cadence you should be ok.
It seems to track quite well for me.
You can pop over and borrow one of my HRM RUN’s to test if you want. They’re obviously manky sweaty but…
The load is fine, but the “overtraining” / “peaking” etc.is suspect because the daily estimate of VO2max can often be wrong and individual ones screw it up, e.g. if you do a trail run but say it’s a run, then you’re slow and it estimates your VO2max low and claims “overtraining” when you’re not.
So it’s like lots of it, it only works with consistent training of both type and individual workouts, that makes it kind of useless I’d say. But for measuring just overall load then it’s better and clearer.
Yep. I’ve also found that if I do a brick session it will report a low performance condition for the 2nd activity because it’s not taken the first into account.
Yeah, I guess I was thinking about the “suggested workouts” feature which Inthink comes from load data, then I started wondering how load data would track against TSS. I’m thinking over time it should look a similar graph.
Then I went into my load history and saw that 11.5hrs short swim, bike and run at IM Barcelona had a similar load as a 1hr continuous swim I did the week before:
So either I’ve done something wrong or it’s not reliable
Thanks, but I do use an old Premium (?) strap that has the Run Dynamic features, so should be able to test using that. I’d written off the idea of sharing the strap with her, but my late night fuzzy thinking must have ruled out using it for a test too
Holy smokes Batman
How many stats does it produce?
Which you’re never going to look at
Swimming:
Interval distance. Interval time
Running:
Pace, HR; distance, elapsed time.
Cycling:
Quite a few
I’d like NP and VI on here, but they’re on the next page.
Dial round the speedo is coloured to what HR zone I’m in.
I only tend to look at anything else when chatting on here.
Such as strokes per length (hint: it’s about 16-18, barely moves)
Not Garmin but Wahoo.
Anyone experienced their Bolt swapping to mph? Noticed in my ride home this evening my profile on the companion app still shows metric so I’ve no idea how to change it?
Yeah I’ve checked and done that. I’ll go down the factory reset route and hope it’s just a glitch in the matrix
Sorry, I hadn’t read your post correctly.
In the past it looks like there have been been glitches after updates, but I’ve not had to update recently.
How often do people clear their history? Is it worth Spring cleaning from time to time?
I think that’s the case here.
In the app under profile there’s a custom tab next to metric/imperial.
For whatever reason it was displaying mph - All done now
Okay, so how do these work???
So I’ve done a few walks (for a 5km walk, it told me
My recovery time was 18 hours, WTAF?!?)
and one swim.
Nice having HR in the swim, but where’s the temp?
Regarding all of the other “stuff” it does - is there anything I should give a try?
I mean, it tells I breathe 13 times per minute, which is odd.
Yesterday I walked to the shop for some wood and back, as I was flooring the en-suite and knackered, so didn’t walk in the morning or evening.
I put some music on there, which took about 10 minutes for a 40 minute playlist
You can only do one playlist at a time, too, which annoyed me.
Anything else good?
Ooh - I put a custom watch face on, everything at a glance, which I like
Reliability issue with the barometer/temperature sensor:
Yeah; eff the barometer.
Press the little button on Strava afterwards to correct that!
I wanna know how warm my pool is, as I get out and my brain feels like it’s been poached
