I hate how these pro photos seem to be able to eliminate what the weather was actually doing.
I remember from IM Wales where the rain was horizontal for hours on end and you could barely hang on to the bike and when I saw the official pics, I was thinking ‘WTF, where has the weather gone’?

That top I’m wearing is very light grey.
My socks are also nearly new and bright white.
If you open the images, you can see the droplets on our faves and helmets
I put on a smile for that photo, sucked my belly in and looked ahead and cycled in a straight line

Yep even on the first page there’s quite a lot weaving sideways or looking like they’re grinding up!
Not sure I even noticed him on the run, just trying to stay upright and move forwards by this point! They’re great photos though, especially to be provided in entry.

That’s just wrong.
My girlfriend normally laughs at the marginal gains mentality of what is just a fun hobby for us, mortals, but she did begrudgingly point out post-race that everyone ahead of me had smooth legs!
