Anyone know anything about Zone 3 sizing?
I’m 185cm and 80kg.
I have a Medium Huub, which I find too large, it’s baggy around the crotch and/or body, it slides down whilst I’m swimming (and yea, I know how to put a wetsuit on, I used to squeeze into an SMT B70 Helix!)
Huub’s website says I’m an ML
If I was buying a Huub again (which I would not!) then I’d be looking at an SMT.
The Zone3 sizing chart is quite different.
I’d like to think I’d get into a medium, for a snug fit.
In times of yore, that snug fit meant it’d just pop right off in T1 with next to zero wrestling.
What do you lot think?
Take a punt on the medium and see how I get on?
Added impetus to lose a few kg?
I am bang in the middle of their MT size, and it fits well. Lose 10% of your baby fat and I would say go for MT…
Why MT over an M?
Are the Z3 suits “longer” than the Huub ones?
I’m 2cm/1in over an M (ignoring weight!)
Just don’t want the “body slippage” occurring, I’d rather have my gooch compressed for an hour than feel like I’m dragging a dead weight around!
ETA: But I don’t want to feel like a compressed sausage and not be able to breathe either!
Their suits tend to be short arms/legs anyway, so depends if this is something you want or not.
I’m currently squeezing into a ST. And I’m well over the recommended weight. MT will be a good fit I reckon.
What are their returns like? Order both
Erm…this is a brand new Vanquish for £200…but in a medium
So just wondering if a medium will actually fit before handing over the cashoon!
How tall/weight are you, @Adam?
Just hope it doesn’t do a Huub or you’ll put 6 holes into it on your first attempt at getting it on!
Mine was looking awful yesterday
185/76
Probably more 77/78 after the food I’ve been throwing down recently
Medium will be fine
…for £200, but if you were paying £575 I’d get an MT
Is this on their site?
Vanquish coming up as 575!
And only in tiny sizes
Nope.
This is an unboxed, brand new unworn wetsuit still with tags.
Just had something sat on it, so it has a mark on it - which will come out with use, or, WGAF 🥷🏼
I’m still using a 2nd hand (minimal use) 2XU T2 I bought 10 years ago. I didn’t realise it was that old, seems to do the job ok. Not sure why I’d buy a new one - maybe I’m missing some gains? It’s a pain to get off after the swim, maybe new one would be more flexible?
I bought an Orca Core for Swimrun which is great.
What’s with the deboer wetsuits costing more than a grand
Ended up getting the medium.
Will see if I can squeeze what I think I weigh into it tomorrow/Friday
So I took a punt on this & it was accepted. It arrived today & my wife opened it up while I was on the phone with her. She says that it looks in good nick & that it should fit a small child.
She refused to smell it for piss though.
You going in the Dee with it?
Let us know what it looks like - I ordered an M, should be here today/tomorrow.
Got swimming tonight, so fingers crossed!!!
I use an old 2009 Blue70 wetsuit for my OW at the moment as - despite the armpit holes that I can’t repair - it’s lovely & thick.
The Xterra I have & the Zone3 that I’ve just got sound a bit thin in the arms for me in early season, cold water.
Wow the material in the arms is thin, in fact the whole thing is delicate. Make sure you trim your fingernails @Poet
Lord knows how @Adam gets all of himself into a SMT & God knows how I’ll get into it if it’s a hot day.
Like it though.
I’ve got poncy gloves
Obviously
Too easy.
