Call it a taper race
Wow, that can’t be a coincidence.
I was going to add, I am not TC
Of course it is but think about your audience here
Who’s going to start the Ironman Leeds thread?
We still pine for the day it goes to Blackpool
Well on @Rooster’s podcast the other week he mentioned having a big weekend 2 weeks before then taper, this is 3 weeks. What could possibly go wrong?
All seems a bit rushed and amateurish.
Here’s a new car. It’s got 4 wheels and is shiny, but we can’t tell you the spec or how much it costs.
Yeah, would have been good if they could have given details of the course as part of the “big announcement”
its not getting the warm welcome i thought on f/bok
It was a tax dodge but it’s a long time ago and I forget the details.
Bridgwater is a dump.
(spelled correctly Mr Somerset
)
All moaning about the outlaw clash, and on paper it looks bad, but lets be honest, T_C aside no one is doing two Ironman races even 2 weeks apart so the “clash” is just soshul meeja whinging for nothing. It perfect time after Bolton half for the Feel and Funk disciples also so they are looking at that I recon.
Leeds. I would rather spend the money and do one abroad.
Happy to be wrong, but not sure how long this will be around. What were IM Bolton numbers like before it went to a Half?
But 3 weeks? That’s the real question
perfectly fine
If you need a coach …
I hear eJC is good
I agree on the longevity of the race with you but there’s no excuse not to have a challenging and picturesque bike course. So long as the local marketing is correct and we get a Brownlee or two involved the support in town should be good. Assuming the run finishes in town. For the ITU/WT races the support was excellent when it was in town. When it was a Roundhay Park not so much because if you don’t live near it, it is a right PITA to get to with a triathlon happening there.
I will do at least a relay on this one.
That’s a good video,
So what’s the cost, I’m guessing with “ACTIVE Fee” not much change from £700 these days
