I would if i could run more than 30m without my calf/achilles/everything down there screaming to stop. Getting there, just not quickly enough. Its a vicious circle, need to lose a bit of timber so running is less stressful on my lower limbs, but not running makes that harder. So does eating too much

I looked pregnant :pregnant_man: on the post race photo at the trail race last month :joy:

Which is why our pace groups grade at different paces, starting with the walking group. No excuses to stay in, every Tuesday you’ll be out for one hour rain or shine :cloud_with_rain::sun: walking boots or Alphaflys!

One of our top marathoners is looking for a local swim coach too…

How was it? Couldn’t have been harder than 2019…let alone Frankfurt 2015.

ETA - Laura Philip did 8:03 so a float day! Probably got the bike 6km short.

Yeah they changed that long bike course you guys did a few years ago!

Not so many years ago a 4:23 bike was a fast male time too!

This years bike looks to be about 3km short, I know GPS can be a fair bit out but every file I have seen the bike is 2¾km to 3¼km short, I sometimes wonder if they do that on purpose to equal out the longer transitions.

Run looks short as well by just under half a KM.
Not taking anything away from those crazy fast runs, unbelievable times yesterday even if you add an extra 400 - 500m on, maybe a extra 1 minute 20s?

LP would have still been under 2h40m just.

I wonder what a run fit Lange would had done yesterday, if there was a pro mens race.

Utter twats! Although I think it might have been last year as I calculated it was nearly 10k less than the class of 2019!

That’s at least 15 minutes!

German precision & efficency was dead even by the time I lived there.

women were usually around 3hrs on the marathon 10 to 15 years ago, Rinny broke the mould but this is another level

Chrissie wasn’t far behind her on the run, and modern trainers are helping.

More broadly, it’s the bike times that have been slashed. Can modern tech really save them over 20 mins? I guess it must do. Then a follow-on benefit on the run?

And the young Norwegian lady hitting an 8:12 on debut (with a bike mechanical!).
