Yup, second-to-none for triggering competitive exercisers

Yes - but flag football, cricket and lacrosse are in… ![]()
Tracking a few lads at Bolton 70.3, the bike course looks a bit naff and the run seems to just be endless dead turns!
My bike is doing it ( I’m not)
Leader swam 1;14 pace 40 kph bike and currently 3:40 run pace that’s crazy on that course.
Saw that. Same reaction.
Apparently their entries system collapsed today after too many people wanted to sign up for 70.3’s next year ![]()
Either woefully underspecced or written, although I’d think they mean active ![]()
Just seen entries for Mallorca 70.3 are a touch under £400 already…
I did a Standard, Sprint & Middle in the Ardeche last year, can’t remember how much it was but this year it’s €188…just saying.
For the Sprint or all 3?
It’ll be 20 years in September since I did the first ever race that was branded an IM 70.3 at Longleat. At the time, I think most people expected everyone to carry on calling them HIMs ![]()
I think the going rate for a branded 70.3 was £130 at the time and I paid about £260 for IM Austria the following year
All 3.
I still call them a Middle or a Half & depending on who I’m talking to I also preface that with “only” ![]()
A 70.3 is in miles.
So wrong on many levels.
Middle or half.
Bala is still my fave ![]()

That run ![]()

I did that race too. My first race at that distance.
I still have the t-shirt with the lion on it!

20 years ago next month for my 1st IM - Switzerland.
I know they’re far smaller events, but Steelman is £65, Helvellyn £100, Brutal £200
Diet Cola edition? ![]()
Still a few entries for the steelman, but closes soon. Rare it doesn’t sell out but some unfortunate clashes this year and either same weekend as Leeds or very close to be a training sharpener type event.
