Thats why i brought it up, its odd, I see little point, I’ve spent close to 10mins stretching at one “race” , and can’t see how its policed unless after the fact. I found the 2024 guide and it wasnt in that.

Theres a couple of classic “TT moments”, both at Midnightman, where I see @veggieboy sitting on his arse eating a cheese and onion pasty after his swim, and a girl called @Dallas who was eating a bacon sandwich at some point. Might even have been the same MnM , can’t quite remember.

I have seen some fb noise on this.
I would think it must exclude the run? It can’t include it given the length and the fact some have to end up walking it, and to support that assumption it makes little sense to enforce 10mins for both transitions when T1 and T2 are so different because of the extended T1 run.
Looking back at my 2022 results, it does seem they have a separate mat to monitor it. My official T1 time back in '22 is listed as over 14mins, but endurance data has two components to that which can only come from timing mats feeding that split:
It means I took over 8 mins in main T1. That was largely because I had to go to the portaloo and in a tight one piece trisuit, that took a while to get off on the top and then back on. So I was only 90s inside the 10min limit and so you’d almost be forcing people to have to stop for the toilet on course for some arbitrary included time limit. It would be ridiculous to time cut someone who’s otherwise nowhere near cutoffs?
