Injury List- do any parts of you still work?

Thanks guys, genuinely appreciate it. Feel stiff and sore and fluids only until my lip swelling goes down. Could have been a lot worse.

As side note I had my garmin watch on for the ride and the incident detection notified my wife and mum of it with location, etc. I will make sure my wahoo is connected to my phone on future rides too.

How are you feeling a couple of days after @pacha? Is it too early for injuries to be easing? Any news on your teeth? What did the x-ray reveal?

:hugs:

Thanks @Doonhamer, I am feeling a bit better today after feeling knackered for a couple of days. Swelling of the mouth has gone down too although the left side of my face is still swollen. Moved on from fluids to mush that doesn’t need chewing.

They did a CT scan to check my brain as I can’t remember hitting the ground or getting to the side of the road and also checked for broken bones. The chest x-ray was to check for inhaled tooth bits. Both all clear.

I will likely need a crown or similar. I am at the dentist next week to find out what the plan (and cost) is.

I have booked the bike in at my LBS to have it checked out next week.

What happened @pacha? Apologies if you’ve already covered it elsewhere.

Look up about 10 posts with the hidden photo, knocked off his bike.

Yeah, saw that @jeffb. Wondered if he was hit by anything, or swerved to avoid something in the road, etc.

Ahh, that was a bit higher up

Hit by car this morning will update later but you don’t need to get out your black suits just yet.

Yeah as above, a driver didn’t see me as he turned right on to the road I was on from my left. Luckily he was going slowly.

Holy shit, I’ve just seen this. Very sorry to hear that mate. Glad to see your update is optimistic but please ensure you continue to get checked.

Keep us updated and :crossed_fingers: for a swift recovery.

Arh @pacha, that’s crap.

That said, could have been far worse. Hope that you’re healing quickly…

My calf is still tight but easing. I’m in that horrible ‘should I do something?’ phase. I know the answers in ‘no’ but it just eats at you. I’ve only ran twice since Monday :man_facepalming:

easy spin?

I was thinking that as when it’s happened before, it’s largely unaffected by spinning. However, this happened the day after I did a turbo session. I’m putting it down to coincidence

I’m finishing the 9 Box Grid moderation for my managerial direct reports and the one for my Director from myself. That’s far more painful than anything my legs can conjure up!

Attacked by our rescue dog last night, we’ve had him for 3 years.

Tore and twisted at my left calf and hung on and split a finger from the top down about a cm.

Presently in hospital since last night awaiting two operations incl skin graft or possible plastic surgery as hole in leg is about 2 inches square.

Dog put down.

Will let you all know when back out of hospital.

Thankfully not life threatening, not sure how much of my calf he tore out.

What a great excuse I have to moan and whinge, sorry in advance.

Been doing lots and lots of positive thinking hence looking forward to a very swift recovery to those areas and also a very swift transition back to training as opposed to the next few days of being a keyboard warrior.

Thanks in advance to my major inspirations who are on this forum.

That is shit news - heal well!

What triggered the dog to do that do you think especially after 3 years with you?? Was it always a bit edgy?? We’ll have had our rescue 3 years come June but he’s as good as gold with people and doesn’t seem to have an angry gene in his body (apart from when prey hunting).
