Son’s had a cough for about 3 weeks and, as he’s just started a new job, we got him to do a Covid test just to be on the safe side and it was all clear. We’ve both been commenting that it’s weird we haven’t had it…well guess what.
Up all night coughing, shakes and aching all over. Was supposed to go to the gym yesterday but could feel something brewing and HR was elevated overnight so decided against it.
I managed a bit more sleep last night but my head still feels on fire. I’m waiting on a GP call back for this painful breathing on the left side.
It started before about 5 days before I tested positive and I was negative before.
Mrs FP said last night that it sounds similar to when she had pneumonia but I haven’t had that before.
I really want a shower but need to wait for this call now.
I have a Dr appt at 5.00, she wants to listen to my chest/ribs.
Congrats on getting an appointment. Our surgery has become a joke. I needed a blood test, just an annual check up for medication. Next appointment is in 2 months time!
I got a text off the doctors yesterday saying I need to call them if I want a smear test or various other tests
Well I called at 8am, then got a triage call back at 2.30, got handed to the Dr who then said come in at 5.00. I’m not sure how all that is more efficient but I’m sure someone that sells PCP finance could explain how we’re all better off!
Anyway, she had a listen. No obvious sign of pneumonia and my pulse rate is consistent with someone ‘that does a lot of exercise’ (her words ). There is a small chance the chest pain might be a blood clot but she said most likely when I tested for Covid two weekends ago (when I bailed on that 7hr race) it was most likely a false negative.
Sounds positive and hopefully might remove some of your concerns
Yes seems so mate. I’ll take a test on Friday and if negative and I feel ok, I will head to Cornwall next week and just play the whole thing by ear. If I don’t feel recovered or don’t test negative, I won’t go. Good to know there doesn’t seem to be anything sinister lurking under the surface.
Time for the metalwork to come out of my shoulder.
The operation probably isn’t going to happen until 12:00 and I’m feckin starving!
One hour in and I’m bored already
I reckon I’d be fast asleep by now if it wasn’t for the fact that someone comes into my room every 10 minutes
My Covid test came back negative, but they said they would have still operated even if it was positive if I had no symptoms
Times have moved on since the first op last year when everyone was still wearing masks
Looks a bit lumpy, have they counted all the tools back in
Heal well mate
It would be ironic if they took out the plate and pins and left in a spanner
It would be heart wrenching.
Truly nuts.
Torque about a medical mishap.
Wife and I, and daughter have got some odd mild illness. All feel like we might be sick, but no one actually has been. We all ate the same food last night, youngest had something different and feels ok. Can you have very mild food poisoning?
Yeah pretty sure you can. Sometimes just combinations of foods can cause a mild reaction.
Think it might be a bug as the youngest is now saying she feels sick and she had a different meal. We were going to do pizza oven tonight and no one fancies it - usually my daughters favourite meal. Weve all got headaches as well.
FFS. When I was gardening yesterday I had to tackle the death bush. Some kimd of Hawthorn or something. Big fucking strong spikes hurts like hell.
Anyway I double gloved while using the hedge trimmer, and it felt a little odd.
Today my forearm muscles are fucking agony.
I knew gardening was bullshit.
