Injury List- do any parts of you still work?

Spent most of the day mostly vertical - the worst is over, I hope

Will avoid chicken products for a while

Bit annoyed with myself

Turned ankle hill repping last Sunday.

Felt it go while swimming on Wednesday.

Went for a long run on Friday.

Could hardly walk around the house yesterday.

(Also the shittest rendition of Craig David’s classic hit song.)

Doing hill reps with some friends
Who live a couple blocks away from him (Oh)
As he flew up the steep bit
cause he weighs about seven stone three
In front of Doonie
Was a hole in the road in the path of his body (Body)
Didn’t spot in time
Cost him a sprain, a four letter word and no Parkrun next week at nine

Twisted it on Monday
Swollen up and pink on Tuesday
Limping round the house by Wednesday
And on Thursday and Friday and Saturday
Fessed up on Sunday

(Sorry & hope it’s mending :see_no_evil:)

Arse, hamstring has gone again :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Had a trail race next week but that’s out, hopefully not as bad as in June as I walked when it got tight.

Dragged on for over 5 months now, need to get it sorted for next year.

So two injuries?

Hope you get it sorted, maybe the Tri gods are saying it’s time for another swim block :man_shrugging:

Ha, I have been keeping the swimming going so yeah that and more on Zwift.

Hopefully not as bad and I don’t have an Ironman or marathon on the horizon to pressure myself.

It was, decent underfoot as well.

First cold in ages, getting out breath walking up the stairs. I don’t think return flights to Copenhagen for work helped. 3 days in constant air con played havoc with my sinuses too.

That’s a bugger Jeff, :crossed_fingers: for you

banged my left shin into the bed this afternoon and split the skin. didn’t think too much about at first but shortly after it felt as if my leggings were getting damp - looked down and there’s blood pouring onto my foot.

that’s the problem when you’re on anticoagulants - a simple cut or split will just gush until I can get pressure on and keep it on for a while.

all OK now with a big plaster on it. had some clearing up of the floor to do though

Sitrep, leg was sore today especially after sitting on it but not what I’d call painful, wouldn’t run on it though.

Went to the physio\massage this evening, seems to be as much the adductor as the hamstring, and the quad was quite tight as well. Painful hour but hopefully helped.

Had a short spin on Zwift was mostly ok, now icing it.

Fingers crossed it won’t be several months again. Need to get back on with the rehab again.

You should have gone next door and told him you’d slipped on his ice.

Glad you’re ok.

Rolled my foot in a rut while out running about 6 weeks ago. Still not right. Rather peeved to be honest.

Still not 100%

Going to take another day off exercising as still chesty

I know a few of us on here struggle a bit in the cold with breathing, @Poet @gingerbongo and @Hammerer and I saw this the other day, also mentions about chlorinated pools which TBF rules out bongo for that

Anyway, it sounds very similar to asthma and similar treatments, not sure I’d use the Vaseline trick though!

Also highlights the gaming that various committees and coaches use to get TUE’s for inhalers, some are obviously genuine

I’ll have you know I have been in a pool at least once a week for the last 4 weeks now.

OK, granted I’ve been doing underwater races, wrestling and trying to stop the youngest from drowning. But I have been getting wet.

Didn’t see it on Strava

I am over my cold but still coughing a bit and still easily out of breath. Will avoid running until I can breathe as normal. Just easy rides on the trainer.

Last night, felt my hip flexors were tight, tighter than normal. Ignored it.

Today, moved my desk and office stuff.

Now, back is fucked. Its bad. Im so pissed off. Got a double cricket nets session booked for Wednesday and there is no way I can bat or bowl.

Got to stretch and I dont know, heat, Ibuprofen, pray to God it gets better.
