Sebi just had some flying surgery! Doc pulling a piece of glass out of his foot in t2 with tweezers!
He quit at T2, something about sciatic pain.
Funkster did the swim in 1:05 and is looking to finish the bike in 5:15. Solid day so far!
And T2T 1:51 swim and looking at an estimated bike finish of 6:15.
Right, @funkster has finished the bike in 6:06. Looks like something happened between the check points at 161km and 177km. Heās in T2 now.
And I canāt bloody well get Ironman Now to stream.
Wow Frodeno, sub 8, long bike, stopped in T2 to check on his mate!
He always liked the heat though, but struggled in the cold.

Tragic for Sarah True. She needs to try a cool raceā¦
What is the run course like? Iām tracking a team mate, who is a regular sub 10 IM, and his run pace is all over the shop. Are there some big hills? Possibly he is just walking because of the temps.
Itās completely flat apart from crossing a couple of bridges. Watched it earlier and there was a lot of people walking
Ah ok, must be struggling then, un like him. Hes a machine usually.
Every machine can overheatā¦
Joe Skipper has the bike at 184.67km
Pretty near to the 185km they said it would be
What is it about Germans and long Ironman bike courses? Hamburg is also long, clearly you have not done and Ironman unless you have done a German Ironman
Maastricht was 185K the first year as well, and some fairly gruesome cobbles

Found the Sarah True ending a difficult watch. About 900m to goā¦gutted for her watching that.
Yikes, just seen it, that wasnāt good.
There was a guy in the med tent at Ripon yesterday for a long time with a drip and scanning his chest, got carted off in an ambulance but it looked like he was coming round after about an hour. Think they had a mini ECG on him or something.
Fingers crossed he was alright, but they donāt give drips in the UK like they do in other countries, unless you are in a dangerous state.
Jeff
They just charge Ironman in those races Jeff!
