I don’t know about that. How many people these days actually use ‘hence’? Affect & effect has to be one of the biggies.
Anyway, I will never get AWA status, by virtue of the fact I do not fly frequently, and am not a podium AGer.

Just printed-off the athlete guide, and flicking through it. I see we are the biggest AG, 5 Kona slots. Sub 9:20 should probably just about do it on this course

There’s a thread on Slowtwitch about age group sizes and saying something down the lines that the current M45-49 A\G is the biggest and has been while he’s in it (and when he was in M40), I’ve also noticed something similar since doing my early one, and now that some are moving into M50 it’s getting quite big as well.
Either way, I doubt I’ll be doing 9:20, I think I’d currently take 10:20. And I can’t see it rolling more than 1 or 2 places.

I plucked that 9:20 out of the air, but given how flat the bike is, I reckon that’s about right. In 2017 the bike was quite a bit more lumpy.
If the guy in M70+ doesn’t finish, that will be another slot for M45 
Race week weather starting to shape up nicely on long range forecast.
But if it’s not face meltingly hot, it doesn’t really count.
