IRONMAN Hamburg - Rumble in the M45 Jungle

Could do without the wind but it’s not bad.

Jeff

Can’t really see me breaking 10 let alone 9:40, my swim is just too far off the mark, I’d consider sub-72 a decent swim ATM, and coupled with long transitions and 3k extra on the bike, the poor swim and extra bike will probably add nearly 10 minutes to my time. I’d probably need to put out a sub-5 bike, which I suspect I could do but the run would probably turn into a walk.

Que Sera sera

That wind is pretty savage!!!

Still early days, two weeks to go yet.

Walk in the well surfaced park compared to the new toughest race on the circuit…
#boltonbeast!

Well, you did ask for it…oh hang on, maybe not :sweat_smile:

Just look how the forecast has changed in the last day

Looks like some eyes will be melting there…

Biggest concern is the water warming-up and that pesky algae.

Time to start dusting-off (literally) my bike box. Not used it since 2013! Heaven knows what might be lurking inside.

My Weather app is still showing 23 degrees and 20-25 kph wind

BBC saying about 26c

I’ve got to drop my bike off tomorrow for transportation, little bit earlier than I’d planned but I’ve put my race chain and disc on, and changed the front tyre.

Race day is coming

Yep, I printed off a kit list at work today; need to start the admin side of things as the big day is close now :face_with_monocle:

At least you won’t need your wetsuits…!

Now now, be positive! Non wetsuit fine, no swim… not so great

Non wetsuit fine for you …!?
Is it the 28th ?

What is the Algae state? Getting warm here in Zurich

I’m pretty sure most people do nearly all their swim training without one :sob:

I’m fine with non wetsuit swim… would prefer a wetsuit as it makes sub 10hr more likely, NWS gives me a little more work to do to catch Jorgan on the bike leg
