Good luck getting all those posh Cheshire connected councillors to stay in there house / street on a Sunday…!
My mate did the 2019 loop, at a similar speed/ hr/ power to what he’s doing the new loop in today.
Not sure if that’s good or bad news?!?
He had a huge blow out coming down sheephouse… said he took it easy after that, but no harm done.
No…Irish comedian ?
To be sure.
FTFY - B@#?@rds in OZ for making you go over hurdles in an IM - I can bearly manage a kerb
Not to mention the sharks in the swim and drop bears on the run!
So, how are we feeling currently about the likelihood this is going to happen? I can only imagine IMJ will go into meltdown again once people have seen mention of potential local lockdowns in today’s press.
As I said on “the other” thread, I reckon Bolton’s got 2-3 weeks to turn its’ covid situation around or they’ll have to pull the plug.
I reckon we should make Ken Jones the IMUK RD.
Jaysus no. He’s apparently too busy on conspiracy theory websites. I wonder if he’ll have the vaccine.
He likes injections of cash, so…
100% going ahead.
Boris is striking an optimistic Tone.
Queues are large to get jabbed.
This’ll be a footnote in three weeks and it’ll be all about Bedford or Bath or Bristol.
Or somewhere else beginning with a “B”
I like your optimisim @Poet
Bradford is pretty local.
I guess we’ll see, based on the numbers. But the optics and practicalities of encouraging thousands of people into a hotspot; for them to return home and potentially spread it to the four corners of the UK won’t be appetising.
It was Burnley having the dubious honour of making it into the only Top 3 you don’t want to be part of last night
But then that’s also super local.
The event is “Covid Secure” with “minimised touch points” so it’ll all be fine.
Boris has said so.
We can defer up to 14 days before the race this year?
Is this true?
Keep the faith bro. But there’s a yellow stripe down this guy’s back, and you can rest assured it’ll be the public’s fault if it doesn’t go to the grand plan of following the somewhat nebulous (by design) rules.
I’m sure the local residents will be thrilled when the road closure leaflets get popped through the letter boxes this year
Oh for sure!
The rhetoric is firmly putting “responsibility” (read: blame) on the public.
“It’s in your hands” (in other words, if it goes tits up, don’t blame Us - capital U)
But, they’re Tories and they’ve been far too Socialist this past fourteen months.
They need to turn off the furlough tap and get people back into work, filling all those hospitality vacancies.
Then start the Grand Plan of “levelling up” (read: f***** over all the Northerners who voted for them)
