Is your plan top secret? Or do you mind sharing?
I was thinking about getting serious around the start of May so got quite a bit of time to plan before then.

Yo! @Adam…like 16 of these?
[EDIT: Image was here, now sent as PM]
thanks for that!
Just starting to think about getting some structure into my weeks!
Can you swim early in the morning at your local lake?
I was planning on continuing my 3 pool swims per week then adding an open water swim Saturday am when the lake is open.
Getting a touch off topic now though!
I can swim whenever I want at Pickmere or Hatchmere, as they are public mere’s, with no landowner or fishing rights.
@Adam - I’ll PM you that training plan now…
Seems like the 3 lap rumours were true… [http://www.220triathlon.com/news/ironman/ironman-uk-reveal-new-bike-course/18223.html]
Hate to say I tol…
In all honest Ste Walton was all over this…
Sheephouse times 3…!
You know how bad the “ iconic” 2019 course was when your great full for SH x 3!
Has to be a faster course… he said …!
Bastards eh!
Awful…NOT!
Time for some IMJ fun
… edit, someone got there first
Observing or are you planning on poking the bear?
Actually I would love to do it, as I recon it would be a good KQ event for me. Unfortunately I have Roth a week earlier. I am watching with interest, should KQ fail this year, will probably do this as my A race in 2021
IMJ has been pretty sensible lately, however, IMUK bike course is always a sensitive topic, there will be lots of IMJ people doing their one and only event in Bolton, so a hard bike course is always unwelcome
Someone was asking about “best vs worst” case scenario of climbing…
…like they didn’t know about the bike course. Idiots.
I told her to plan for the worst case - never, ever, ever assume the best
Finland has low entries atm Matt, might be a backup option, but 3 IM’s
, and possibly Kona.
Mind, TC does them every weekend
Victory Loves Preparation.
Didn’t make the cut off(s)? You didn’t prepare well enough. You didn’t give the Ironman course the due respect.
Can someone post this on IMJ for me
I thought about Finland as a plan B, however, decided against it. Whatever happens after Lanza, I plan to enjoy my summer, the thought of continuing as I a doing now beyond May is not something I want to entertain. Roth will be a little like Hamburg, no real pressure, just go and have fun
As Jack Reacher would say, plan for the worst hope for the best
