2017 sounds right as I was there that year.
There was a wince inducing video of the start of people jumping off the pontoon straight onto the rocks and ending their race

I was volunteering that year and everyone was told not to jump in off the side but some ignored it. Some people looked like they’d done some serious damage.

Looks like it didn’t register his chip on the first swim exit!

His T1 hasn’t registered either.
Could be a wonky day for tracking @Adam if so

Look at the Top 10AG swim times.
Only two people under an hour 
OR…looking at T1 times…the swim timing mat has failed on the Aussie exit and only registered a few people having a full swim

Erm…this is mainly 20km of a slight uphill at 1-2% from the lake to the roundabout outside of Bolton, then a bit down Chorley New Road.
There’s little to no wind here this morning, but it is damp.
48th overall.
2nd in AG

Mate on course at 42km says roads are damp but other than that good conditions, hardly any wind
