It’s going to be 12-14 hours of misery, might as well be comfortable :joy:

@jeffb @TROSaracen currently I am at 100% FOMO. I am clearly not ready to hang up my trisuit yet… SMASH it and don’t be shit

Did you actually tell us when you qualified for this @jeffb ? Feel like maybe not … you dark horse

and wait, you rode the bike course yesterday - what, the whole thing with 3000m of mountains etc? :exploding_head:

Have a great day

Haha, I only rode the 70.3 course yesterday, but nearly 100k with 1300m ascent! Paying for it now.

Think I mentioned above that it was an extended roll down from California last year. At the roll down after the race they were still saying it was for Kona so when they changed it they offered anyone who took it the option to defer until Kona 24, plus the extra slots.

I actually got it in April but kept it quiet until last week as I wasn’t sure about it :joy: then getting injured didn’t help.

I haven’t actually told many people beyond here tbh :joy: only the GF and physio until about a fortnight ago.

Totally in the phase of why am I bothering :joy:

It’ll be good fun either way. Even if you’re not competitive. Wicked location and nice to be in the buzz.

Probably enjoy it more if there’s no pressure to perform. Just for ‘sh1ts & giggles’.

Good luck @jeffb & @TROSaracen the IDGAF/mega-sandbagging approach seemed to work just fine for the IMW lot :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.

Will be tracking inbetween Great North Run supporting duties.

But what if you have to swerve to avoid an imaginary hazard?

I would imagine that would be OK

Id be very surprised if Laidlow is up there. His form this season has been pants. Injured at Lanza/Roth - unless he’s been on the juice like last year

Best of luck @jeffb and @TROSaracen ill be on the tracker but hoping to get out for a decent ride tomorrow
