Manchester Marathon moved

So @Sowler should be at Alty around midday.
Works for me.

Reckon I’ll drag the daughter and dog out to see y’all.

Apparently, you can’t miss me :man_shrugging:t4:
@mw22 spotted me from about a mile away :see_no_evil::roll_eyes:

I’d seen about the tram strike, I know a little parking place that’s walkable to the start.

I’m off at 10:30.

For some reason though I think they want us there between 9:50-10, that’s a lot of standing around in the cold and I doubt most people will arrive that early.

You need to get there early so you can listen to the local radio DJ and do some star jumps!

EDIT: ah, it’s from 10:14am and forum is displaying some weird time :+1:t3:

:tada:

If I try do star jumps I won’t be racing, I’d be in A&E instead :joy:

For London I was supposed to be there 8:25 for an expected start of 9:45, it was a lot of hanging around and I did get rather cold. Being an eager beaver I was there very early, and that that point they were checking everyone lateral flow test results before letting you in, whether they were still doing that later on when queues were forming, I don’t know. But yeah they definitely spread it all out over a long period.

I haven’t seen anything about LFT‘s but didn’t think of that. Having said that it’s chip timed as long as I don’t get stuck in traffic

:sunglasses:

I’m white bib which I think is 10:30 start.

@Poet just look out for the guy with braids and leopard print vest :joy:

Also great to hear some people going out to support from here

I’ve got an old skanky hoodie that I’m taking which will get donated/binned.
