argh the size 9s are now sold out
@Poet did you amend your sizing as the NEXT% are based on the pegasus so larger then the Vaporfly?
No. I did not.
Thanks for that
Glad I didn’t get the 11.5.
I can wear my double thickness socks now, or they’ll actually fit my massive toe
So that means you need to size down in the NEXT%?
That seems really weird of Nike. I’m already 8.5 in zoom fly, 8 in vaporfly, so you’re saying I’d need to be 7.5 in NEXT%?!
The reviews say that the vaporfly came up small so the NEXT% is more or less back to the original sizing and the toe box is also bigger
Strange. For me, the 4% was in line with all my Brooks shoes. Hokas had a reputation for coming up small, so I’m 8.5 in them. Everything I read about zoom fly was it came up a bit smaller than 4% and so to half size up, which is what I needed to do when I tried some. If 4% is considered coming up small, then I don’t know what they say about ZF!
It would have to be this in Frankfurt; just watch out for the Refs on the run course, because they are out there in numbers from memory!
Yeah, sadly not worth it.
I’ve got my 4% and I don’t think I’ll be getting the full benefit in the 36 degree heat
Yeah, but you will look AWESOME walking in them in the race photos
Could stick them in special needs
~50 posts in few days since last here, but doesnt seem to be much answer on better shoe for ironman pace. Is consensus that 4%/Next % are best even at low speed, and hence only reason for Zoom Fly or Pegasus would be cost and durability?
At least TWICE as quick.
So third run in them today, now 34km total. When I took them off there was red dye on my socks and heels. Anyone else had this when they get sweaty? Just around the heel from the felt lining.
Or have I got very expensive fakes, hence why I’m not bowled over by them. They just feel very light and squidgy if you ask me. I’m actually looking forward to getting my ZF Flyknit at the weekend to compare.
Gotta say though, my legs feel fine after 20 miles split over 2; 15km at lunch, 18km home. But maybe it’s conditioning & fact I wore quad compression for first time on longer runs

Or maybe it’s the shoes???
I get blue dye. As I bought a normal colour
I Get the red dye in the heel as well. My dividend payment came through so the NEXT% are due to arrive tomorrow. The Nike chat function people were helpful in talking through the sizes and in the end recommended I measured my feet in cm and go from that. As per the discussions I sized down by 1/2 for 8.5 so we will see. Worse case I can eBay and cover my cost easily as other sites have them at 300 now
@Poet my ZF’s are being delivered today, a day earlier than forecast. Just sayin’
Looks like the eye melting heat in Germany caused a delayed flight
Would like to try out Nike instead of my usual Asics trainers.
Can’t stretch to over £200 for the Next% but a little confused in which other ones to try!
Is there a decending order with the Next% at number 1 and then see what hits my budget?
Also how do they size up against Asics (usually a 9 in normal and a 9.5 in their racier ones)
Thanks
