Nike Zoom Fly/Vaporfly 4 and NEXT% - The Thread

I hate you right now

Just been to the pub for supper, came home half expecting a card or them to be behind the bin store…Nope :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

There’s no doubting that they look abso flippin ridiculous though!

I see they also have the heel lock loop for Poet!

Wow glad I sized down, gentle sock less run feels ok. Harder wearing heel counter will make a big difference

Just did a fast 6km run in them at my 10km race ice. They are a MUCH better shoe for me than the 4%, mainly because of the heel grip, and the additional stability underfoot especially when turning. They just feel more planted. The 4% is still amazing and I will use it for races, but this next% will be my Roth marathon shoe for sure!

@leahnp - What size is your 4% and what size are these?
I’ve a 10% voucher now, due to them effing my order up…

…thinking might send the 11s back and get a 10.5 if they have stock

My 4% were UK9 and the NEXT% are UK8.5. I did the old paper measurement in cm to make sure of the sizing against the size chart on the page. The toe box is generous/wide like the reviews have said so there is plenty of room as the fly knit was quite tight.

8.5 in both, but I am probably an 8.25 so both feel like a good fit on me.

Cheers. (You gits :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

Has anyone used the 30 returns policy that Nike offers after using your trainers on a few runs to test them out?
Seems a good policy.
Thanks

so the green ones have a wider toe box and a better heel?!

I’m having problems with my toes and forefoot in the red ones.
Also - they really don’t like going downhill (or I don’t like going downhill in them  )

And I might be able to send them back to swap?

Yup. Did that for the 4%s.

I think their margins are so huge on these trainers that they can afford to do so. Would love to know what they do with the returned shoes though! Mine had only had a few kms on them, but the white outer was already starting to fray and shred up a bit.

When I watched the review of manvmiles his pairs are pretty cut up as well but seem to impact performance. The NEXT% look to be harder wearing. No more shoes for at least a year and half now…

Zoom flys turned up a day early

Size 9 does feel pretty snug so maybe should of got the 9.5 but will wait and make a decision once I’ve run in them later this evening

@Poet looks like you got seriously stitched up with your delivery this weekend
