Yeah, I’m kind of surprised too. It’s not too bad but is specifically both hamstrings. I think maybe it’s just undertraining of those specific muscles somehow. Although I had run quite frequently in the build up, I hadn’t run race distance very often & hadn’t run far at race pace either. It’s like the shoes maybe allowed testing the hammys in a way they weren’t expecting
Also, never stretch. Maybe should
Let’s just say I didn’t offer to pick anything off the floor yesterday
I’ve found the arch a bit uncomfortable on the alpha’s when I first put them on or walk in them, but generally don’t notice when running. I think it was discussed above but seems to be different even with the next%, seems to be just down to your own feet and how lucky you get with the pair delivered.
FWIW I wore the alpha’s at the 10 yesterday, I’d say my legs were less wrecked generally despite feeling like I was running hard, HR was at race pace I’d say.
But my left hip area was pretty sore for the rest of the day, I think the soft squidgy sole means a lot of stabilisation work for that area. I really should get back to the gym for some core work which could help now.
