Nike Zoom Fly/Vaporfly 4 and NEXT% - The Thread

Yeah, I’m kind of surprised too. It’s not too bad but is specifically both hamstrings. I think maybe it’s just undertraining of those specific muscles somehow. Although I had run quite frequently in the build up, I hadn’t run race distance very often & hadn’t run far at race pace either. It’s like the shoes maybe allowed testing the hammys in a way they weren’t expecting :thinking:

Also, never stretch. Maybe should

Let’s just say I didn’t offer to pick anything off the floor yesterday

I used the Next 2’s at Manchester and the DOMS was nowhere near what I was expecting.

Thinking of asking for Alphaflys for Christmas, could they feature in Black Friday?

Or is Keller sport the best source at £159.50? (Only in my small size)

Keller for sure :+1:t3::clap:t3:

Is the arch different on the Alphas? My only complaint on the Vapors was the arch was uncomfortable on my left foot for the first few races.

I’ve found the arch a bit uncomfortable on the alpha’s when I first put them on or walk in them, but generally don’t notice when running. I think it was discussed above but seems to be different even with the next%, seems to be just down to your own feet and how lucky you get with the pair delivered.

FWIW I wore the alpha’s at the 10 yesterday, I’d say my legs were less wrecked generally despite feeling like I was running hard, HR was at race pace I’d say.

But my left hip area was pretty sore for the rest of the day, I think the soft squidgy sole means a lot of stabilisation work for that area. I really should get back to the gym for some core work which could help now.

I’ve flat feet and it’s very noticeable :+1:t3:

Order a pair from Nike to wear around the house and return before Christmas :see_no_evil:

I wore Alphas on Sunday and my legs are wrecked and I’m still walking like a lego minifigure.

I’m more GB than itom. That is some impressive cashback you’ve got there.

I like TCB because there’s a Chrome extension which shows when you’re on a site with CB, you click it and it does its thing.
