Nike Zoom Fly/Vaporfly 4 and NEXT% - The Thread

Here’s a little test I did earlier in the week before eating my wife’s birthday cake for her (no that’s not a euphemism).

In conclusion, couldn’t find anything between them  Cadence is slightly higher in Vaporfly (which in turn meant lower GCT). In terms of RPE id say it was all very even. Maybe slightly harder in the Vapors but could just have been that they were last on the faster stuff. Also, I dont think the treadmill was calibrated very well. Im certain it wasn’t 10 mph when I set it to that hence moving the second trio to 17 kph (which I think was about 10 mph)

6:00 priming effort in fuel cell rebels to calibrate the treadmill to my watch didn’t seem to help the tracking…

My Garmin thought I was doing the same pace regardless so clearly can’t trust that either.

(yes everyone in the gym thought I was weird with 4 pairs of shoes)

Planning to have a road test next week of roughly 4x 15:00 MP outside where will compare just the Vapor and the AF2 then depending on results may keep or return the AF2

Ā£98 and in my size. That’s mighty tempting as i’ve loved my current pair. They’ve got plenty of life left in them, but i’d happily get another pair. Not even running at the moment, so bit impossible to justify it. But that’s a decent price!!!

Ask around if anyone has a unidays code for an extra 10% off and then use top cashback for 4% back. It’s a no brainer…

That’s almost tempting to stock up. If only I was actually running!

Are Peg38 better than the 36 (maybe 37)? I found them a bit ā€˜flat’ but the picture looks like the stack has increased.

Dunno? I’ve got two pairs of 36 and a 37.
I didn’t get on with the 35 (Turbo).
Not tried the 38.

But at those prices, who cares? :joy::person_shrugging:t3:

Although having just paid a visit to my running shoe collection, I appear to have 14 pairs. None of which are anywhere near being close to ā€œend of lifeā€, so I’ve not bought them :+1:t3::money_with_wings:

What’s that code applicable for? It’s rejected for the shoes I’ve selected

Two pairs of shoes (could even be two items?)
Just send one back (unworn)
Lots of pairs are excluded.

Yeah / it’s just any two items (with exclusions)
But some socks or something?

Now the next % 2 are out will they discontinue the alphafly 1?

I’ve been looking at the pair in pink/purple on Keller sports and I’m tempted to grab a pair now if they’ll stop selling them, especially if the new ones are slower.

I’d have grabbed them already but given the cost of living situation my wife probably won’t be too happy, especially since they’ll be sat in a box til next year

Not sure where to put this as I know it’s not NIKE but bloody hell, they seem to be knocking out an iteration every few months now. Is this a new trend with shoe companies ?

By the time I find anything in stock, a new version comes out!

I had the first iteration of the endorphins in early 2020. So probably new version every year.
Looking at replacing mine with V2. Ā£100 v Ā£160 for the v3 doesn’t seem worthwhile looking at the differences (unless you have wider feet).
