I’m eyeing up a Nike indoor cycling shoe…why didn’t I get this years ago? £44!

Aw, and a Metcon shoe for weight lifting.

Are they the super rep? I bought some pretty cheap and impressed so far

Yes, given the hours I put indoors and how much I sweat into them, it does kind of make sense.

Any thoughts why they couldn’t be used outside (in summer)?

Don’t see why you wouldn’t use them outside, although the top mesh is a bit thin so you’d need to wear socks to avoid your feet getting burnt.

Edit, had a look before I put them on just now.

The sole is in 2 parts and the middle bit where your arch is isn’t particularly sturdy. You’d get by on short rides but not sure I’d use them for racing or long rides, probably wouldn’t last as long but for £50

Order placed for them. And Wildhorse too.

How are they on pavement?

Great for dog walking. Naff for running.
I had a pair of them.
Wore them through after 600km walking.

That is some walk.

They’re trail shoes so wouldn’t be my first choice on the road; however, I’ve won my local Parkrun - which is a mixture of surfaces - a couple of times & had a few 2nds with them.

Absolutely down to the versatility of the wonderful Wildhorses.

You’re all mad, or have understanding other halves*. I bought one good pair of running shoes and still don’t hear the end of it!

*(or have separate bank accounts?)

My current pair of trainers were £35, the black ones (which I liked better) were £38 so I had the blue.

So that’s why she never complains.

Nah, she sees any delivery before I do. Women’s shoes are even cheaper than men’s so I’m getting her a pair for walking around in.

Excepting VaporFly (bought once every two or three years at ~£120-130) I haven’t spent more than £60 on a pair of shoes.

…doesn’t sound as impressive as when I thought of typing that. :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

I always hunt for bargains and even used a gift card during the sales to max out my purchases

My mate bought some Alpha 2’s a while back and was not impressed, wanted my obviously highly valued opinion so asked me to wear them at my beer 5k.

I ran 17:23 which is the fastest I have run in quite a while, but I have to say I was not impressed. A fast time has been coming, but the shoes, although clearly fast, felt heavy, didnt have the bounce of the alphas, I jogged down in my 1500k+ 4%s and then felt more lively. But who knows, next week I will wear my NEXT%s to try and get a comparison…

Has anyone felt similar?

I’ve never felt anything in my shoes whilst running 17min 5km’s whilst drinking beer no… Maybe next month,
