Yes, as above on VF2s.
I think they’ve kept the performance enhancing capabilities but as they’ve exploded into the mainstream they’ve likely tried to make them feel (and sound) more like a regular shoe so more people will buy them.
The waka waka noise some models incl 4% have made would put off anyone not focussed on race times. VF2s feel more like a bouncy Pegasus.

Its a no from me. I already have an unused pair of VF2s I picked up when @itom150 was creaming it in from all of us 
And a pair of VF1s with minimal use.
