Speaking of which, any idea when the VF3 will be back in stock?
I’d imagine it will be at the next colour launch. Probably a bit of time but I’m in no rush. I just like to get an early pair and try them out😄
@itom150 - Size 13 back in stock
How long did that last😂
Did you buy them?!?!
No😂 sold out by time I looked
First run in them this morning, easy pace but even slower due to the now slightly tricky, muddy trails - I thought they were great.
Better equipped for the wet and mud than the Pegasus Trail 4, and they’ve got that collar that keeps crap out too, so quite a confident shoe in that environment. I wasnt really in the mood for getting totally covered in crap so I teetered around some of the pools but it’s definitely a run-straight-through-it kind of shoe.
I’m in suburban woodland so can’t comment on technical trail running really, but I’d favour the Terra Kiger 7 at this point for hard/fast. Road to trail and dry trail, I think the PegTrail 4 has it. I wouldnt choose to do 10km on the road but I dont think I’d regret it either - maybe if it’s pissing down out there I’ll give it a go.
Wiped cleanish pretty easily too.
Wonderfully garish colours too
25% off.
Relented and got some VF2s…
… and a pair of running socks….
…. And a gillet….
@itom150 - Sizes 13 and 14 in stock NOW!
Everyone else, keep looking, as they come back in stock every so often.
ordered a pair. Though the lack of discount means Im unlikely to keep them Really I just want to get a hold of them and see what they’re like. If I could have got sportsshoes 15% off id have probably kept them!
Erm … pretty sure they’re “free” to you with all of those referrals.
My bank switch cash is paying for mine
Just picked up two pairs of Peg 37’s at the outlet for £75
I have more than enough trainers to last me for the rest of my life
Multiple colours now appearing for VF3 on Nike app
Sports shoes saying released tomorrow. Could I get some in time for Sunday
I’ve paid for 10 driving lessons for my son instead
Did anyone get the pink and yellow ones then?
I saw they had my size in this morning … thought I’d debate it over parkrun … came back and they’d sold out
The tempos at various prices but this colourway the cheapest at £90

VaporFly not so beneficial for <70kg athletes running at 5 and 6 min/km
Also some stuff on concern for carbon plate and injury risk
But still faster
Injury schminjury.
My knees’ll be fooked when I’m 50 anyhow.
For now, I need all the help I can get.
Also, no paper link or peer review on there.
COVID is over, so people aren’t allowed to go around making up #ScienceFacts anymore
But this is simply because to run slow, you often need to not be running with normal form - the form the shoes are producing. I know I am way inefficient at those speeds in the lab, consistently use more O2 running at 6min/km than 5min/km in ramp tests - because my form has to change, and I’m essentially braking myself with every step, exactly working against the foam and plate.
Oh and given the weight and speed constraints, these athletes were either very old, or untrained, neither of which is helpful to extend to younger trained individuals, even if a 16 athlete study is extendable anyway - more research required.
