pair of pegs arrived, but they have some sort of velcro fastener rather than laces that tie. Wasn’t expecting that.

I’m not convinced that the fasteners are going to be durable and am thinking of sending back.

Anyone any experience, before I do?

FlyEase?

Yeah, I loved them. No more lace tying! Most convenient trainers ever. Never had any problems with them.

ah, that’s interesting - thanks. Maybe I’ll give them a go then. Have they lasted ok?

I had them years ago, 35 or 36 I think, so the fastener may have changed. It didn’t wear out before the shoe did, and I kept using them as my non-running trainers for a while after then gave them to my son.

Did anyone buy a pair of the vapourfly3? I won a fitness challenge at work and the prize was a Nike gift voucher. (Not much of a challenge where a third of the business are IT devs but I’m happy to take their money)

ive got some. I would say near enough indistinguishable from VF2. Probably a slightly more accommodating fit but I think you’ll run the same time in either. Buy which ever is your favourite colour/best value

Come on!

Well done !! Details of the challenge?
Sleds? Burpees? Ski erg? I dread to think of your run speed if there was a treadmill involved?

Cheek, I am an IT dev, throw in a AG handicap and I would give you a run for your money  :grinning:

Hold ye horses! I think I need the handicap here. The challenge was based on Strava for distance, duration and number of sessions per week. I cover 750-1000km per month running/cycling and 9-14 hours a week so I was never going to get challenged from those in the office

Got three pairs of zoomfly now.
11, 10 and 9.5.

I’ll test them all next week

I’ll keep an eye out
The 10.5 were lightly used
9.5 out of the box … old stick unused

I had the 11ā€s already which I couldn’t believe the size when I checked

Are Nike still doing the whole 30 day thing?

Tempted to purchase some Alphas for Wales. I’ve got some Next 2s as my standard raceday shoe. But I’ve been training a lot in the Tempo Next %s which I really like. The Alphas look like they’d be more similar.

Rrp is Ā£250 ffs. Ridiculous. But I’d be tempted on the old free 30 day race day package

Just got a new pair of ā€œJuniper trail 2ā€ to replace the Pegs which I rejected as they had a primary school velcro strap.

but yes, Nike are doing the 30 day thing - that’s how I was able to send the Pegs back.

Actually not quite got them yet, apparently they were delivered to a neighbour called Julie. Once tracked her down, I’ll have em.

Will report back

I got mine for £196, 2x% off.
Maybe some student vouchers will do the rounds soon?

Or buy two pairs get 25% off?
Go halves with someone on here?

Last night was looking at my shoes whilst washing paint brushes; said to my wife that the RRP of Ā£280 for the Rapha Explore shoes wasn’t worth it, but the Ā£240-Ā£260 for the Nikes/ASICS is :white_check_mark::person_shrugging:t3:

It’s a lot of money, but they work.
