You have size 13 feet and you’re worried about 10g…
Don’t you have a Zoom X Humidor? Tsk.
No and being 6’2” there’s plenty of other opportunities to lose weight😂 but ultimately shaving weight off is better than seeing them bulk up for trivial things like ‘comfort’
I don’t even have a pantry I could stick 'em in, @Poet would be disgusted.
Has anyone bought the Pegs 40?
Think my daily trainer (Peg 39) has seen better das, but read mixed reviews….
No, simialr to Poet my daily shoe is the 37. But intrigued as to the feedback as I’m up to 750km or so now, which means I’ll be in the market in the next few months for the next peg replacement.
Tbh it’s probs good timing if the 40s are out, as there should be deals on the 39 as a result.
How are you up so high in the Peg Trail 4s???
I bought my Trail3s in June and have 43km on them (cut off from my screen shot)
Same, the soles look like I’ve ran about 50 miles! But, like @gingerbongo, think I’m between 4-500 miles in the 39’s.
The issue is the foam. I’m noticing it more and more post run, think it will lead to injury.
All the soles on my previous pairs have been absolutely fine. I’m not a heavy person or runner. But, like you, it’s the foam. I normally strat to notice little niggles in my legs. Normally my knees, and pretty much every time (I’ve now learned) I look at my shoe data and they’ll be between 800-1000km.
@poet - that’s very low for me on the trail shoes. I’ve really neglected the trail running compared to previous years. I was thinking how low the mileage is!
aha!
This is why you didn’t understand my “Lucky 7s” emoji on your 7.77km run.
Because you’re an oddball who runs in the Olde Worlde Mileage
As a mileage shoe I’m liking the zoomfly 5, the 3 were the best but sadly not available.
I really liked the original VF 4%, I bought 3 pairs from a shop that was closing down, I am now on my last one. I got about over 700km from each. I prefer the VF 4% to the VF Next %, however, I love the Alphafly original version. I have a pair of Alphafly 2, they are definately slower than the original, however, I have worn them on my recent Ironmans, as I think that they are a little easier on tired legs, although both of my best Ironman runs were on the original version, so I may be wrong.
I have a pair of VF3 that I plan to use for only for marathons
At the moment I have
a really knackered pair of Alphafly original that I just use for training
a pair of next 4% that I use on treadmill
a pair of almost new Alphafly original version that have run 1 marathon
a pair of Alphafly 2 that have done 2 Ironmans (Roth and Wales)
a pair of VF3 which are unused
a pair of pegasus 7s (I think) which are in great condition despite 700+ kms
a pair of Inov8 trail shoes
a pair of Nike Pegasus trail shoes
Since Jan 2019, I have run 10,124 km in this time I have killed:
3 pairs of VF 4%
1 Pair VF Next %
1 Pair Alphafly (second is close to dead)
1 Pair Next Tempo (which did a shit load of miles)
1 Pair of Trail shoes
I’m still really hoping Nike aren’t dropping the Tempos from their line up or I’m gonna have to scour eBay for some size 9s. They’ve been about for 3 ish years so surely just a new model coming soon
Yeah, I find around 1000km is the limit for cushioned shoes. Peg 37 and Zoomfly both gave me niggles at 1000km. Wondering if more padding = longer lasting? I’ve switched my daily to Kinvara 13s which have a lot less padding and they’re at 700km so far and feel ok. I have some inov8s still in rotation that have done over 700km, they probably last longer as they’re used on softer ground.
The new prototype is bloody ugly, obviously fairly quick though.
** I appreciate the athlete wearing them needs to be quite good as well
I’ve had my Tempo Next% since Aug 21; didn’t probably start using them until winter last year. No idea the mileage on them, but they seem fine. Would buy again.
I’ve had my Tempo Next% since Aug 21; didn’t probably start using them until early 2022. No idea the mileage on them as I used to rotate them with VF3s, but they seem fine. Would buy again.
Unfortunately https://www.instagram.com/labratrundown/?hl=en seems to have stopped updating his tables. Admittedly I believe it was all based on a sample size of 1 (himself).
Interestingly for him the Streakfly was worse than the control (non-super) shoe!
