Nike Zoom Fly/Vaporfly 4 and NEXT% - The Thread

Ironically the Alphafly 2 has the best outsole in regards to robustness

What has your carpet done to deserve that?

Is there any comparison to the earlier studies which showed little degradation for ā€œAFTā€ shoes after 400km?

Two questions. My Tempos have just popped a bubble que random knee pain on treadmill until I realised after. Replacements? Alphafly or maybe Zoomfly 5s? As it seems no new Tempos are on the immediate horizon.

My Hyrox running partner has THE flattes feet I have ever seen. Any bouncy super shoes that basically have zero arch support in them people could recommend? She’s currently in some ASICS Noosa Tri 15s but grippy and bouncy they aren’t!

In the Nike app if I search for Vaporfly only the full price Vaporfly 3s are showing up (men’s and women’s), I don’t think there’s any filter. But in Google I’m seeing some discounted 2s.

Is this a ā€œfeatureā€ of the app?

Are they women’s though?
VF3 in black/gold for £135?

Probably a feature of google.

Checkout sportshoes.com running club discounts on top too.

They may have been, but that’s not really the point. The Nike site/app is not giving the full search results, it’s returning 3 full price VF3 only (mens, womens and mens Kipchoge). Whereas Google is returning other results including many styles of VF2 (mens and womens), which there is no way to get to directly from Nike.com

For example, Google has returned this: https://www.nike.com/gb/t/vaporfly-2-road-racing-shoes-821S4F/

I cannot access that even using the style code (DZ4779-304) when searching directly on Nike.

Maybe. My guess is Nike are keeping them for a big Black Friday sale. Just seems odd that they can be accessed only via certain routes.

I’m not actively looking right now unless there’s an absolute bargain. I’m thinking ahead to BF and want to make sure I am seeing everything available.

A clubmate was looking for their first pair of ā€œsupershoesā€ for a race this weekend, I hinted that some people might buy a full price pair from Nike due to the return policy, despite cheaper options being available elsewhere.

He ended up going for the Adidas Adios Pro 3 which are pretty heavily discounted.

They don’t show up when I click the link?

Could you screenshot, please?

Might just be Google cache/ing them???

I just opened Edge (usually use Chrome) and the link worked there too:

But they’re Ā£229.95 :person_shrugging:t3:

You mean you cannot find them in the app at all :exploding_head:

Or thought you were looking for sale ones

I’m just wondering why they aren’t showing up in the app, only the VF3 are.

I’m just thinking ahead to when they might be discounted…

SportsPursuit have men’s Vaporfly 2 in blue for Ā£135. US 7-9.5 in .5 increments, so smaller sizes…

If my feet were that small I’d be looking at the women’s ones, they seem to be discounted more often!

Nike seem to suggest womens shoes are 1.5 ā€˜sizes’ smaller than mens. Particularly I’d like to know as there are some Tempos floating about on ebay.

Interesting, the EU sizing probably helps there!

I think that 1.5 difference only applies to US sixzing, looking at the sizes of a box I Nike I have the UK sizing for men and women is the same: US men 11.5 = UK men 10.5 = UK woman 10.5 = US woman 13 = EU 45.5

I think they have less foam for the assumed lower weight, and width

I’ve tried womens running shoes a couple of times and they always seem to hurt my feet. I swear the toe boxes are smaller too :man_shrugging: Anyway sportshoes had some Tempos in 8.5 so I’ve just grabbed them! No doubt Nike will release the revised version of them shortly now
