Nike Zoom Fly/Vaporfly 4 and NEXT% - The Thread

Yes, although only ran in them about 4 times, but started using them for steady runs.

Will try and compare.

i got bored and just designed some custom Peg Trails. THey look wicked … but i’m not spending £120 on them! haha

£60 for those Zoom Fly Fast is a pretty decent saving…

No doubt some good shoes to be had, I know I’ll be shot for this but I’ve got too many to work though already

What is a Zoom Pegasus Turbo over a Pegasus?

And are there any other superlatives that can be added to the name to annoy me more? Woosh? Ftoom?

i think the Turbo has Zoom x foam and the Peg has whatever the ‘normal’ foam is. @jeffb or @stenard or @Poet will know

I just run on it, it’s foam as far as I’m concerned with different levels of squishiness

I think the turbos are supposed to be closer to a race shoe, firmer with their higher end foam as compared to normals Pegs which are a training shoe (I looked it up yesterday)

Yeah, the 36 was some other kind of foam, the 37 is now using React foam apparently (according to the youtube video I watched by Seth DeMoor) which is the same as is in the Zoom Fly, and the Turbo uses ZoomX foam

It they’re available in your size, the Odyssey React Flyknit 2 are good for the SUMMER30 code.

Yeah - I don’t know either!

Same as the 35?

Im still preferong 35 to 36 so far, I had no idea such a noticeable diffeence would exist

I started off exactly the same, but after ~100km or so the 36s grew on me. Still prefer the 35 though. Not hopeful of the 37 at the moment. They look like VF wannabes

I’ve been walking round the house in the 37’s, they do seem a bit softer than the 36’s.

If the weather improves I’ll try and do a run and change them halfway to see if there’s any noticeable difference.

I’ve got to say although they are marketed as a high volume trainer I don’t think they’ll last as long as the Brooks I’ve had in the past. Can’t comment on previous Pegs.

Quick test run tonight in the 36’s & 37’s. 4k in each.

The 37’s do feel a bit softer, not significantly and it could be because the 36’s have been run in a bit more. Generally a decent feel, although the left big toe felt like it was rubbing, but I’d probably tightened the laces a bit more, they should stretch.

I’d say probably quite comfortable for long runs, particularly if you are a heel striker with all the foam.

They are going in the loft now though until the 36’s are ruined.

I have been running pretty much exclusively for past 3 months in my 4%. When I was injured I found that they were significantly better than any other shoes. I guess fear of getting a recurring injury means that I just carried on with them. They have now done over 1000km and still going strong, looking a bit worn, they still feel comfortable, probably lost some of that 4% benefit, but they certainly don’t feel dead yet.

Has anyone else put big mileage on 4% or Next %

Nowhere near that on mine but used the flyknit’s yesterday, they are a noticeably softer than the Peg 37’s, albeit I’ve used them a bit more.

I don’t think they are far off the 4% and were about £60 in the sale.
