Nike Zoom Fly/Vaporfly 4 and NEXT% - The Thread

Why did you get them sent to a mates house???

I have to say they’re smart.

I ran for a long time in the wet in my Wildhorse 5 the other day, the grip IS NOT great on cobbles/tarmac in the wet
The Peg Shields have a much better wet grip, but not as good in the mud/trails!

Wasn’t home and wanted to make sure someone was in for delivery!!

Has anyone used elastic laces with the Next %'s?
I find the tongue can get caught & folds slightly when putting on and I guess this could be worse with elastic laces and trying to get then on quickly in T2.

Anyone found this to be a problem?

I use lock laces so I keep them slack that enables the tongue to sit flat and then pull tight once they are on . This works for bare foot where the tongue placement is important. For Duathlon or when wearing socks I have elastic laces that are pretensioned so all I do is pull them on and go. 99% of the time they work and since I have socks on then j can cope with the tongue not being slightly folded

Thought I’d bagged some Pegs for £30 at an outlet today, but choice of size 7.5, 8, 8.5, 10, or 10.5 :unamused: considered buying them for £76, but don’t ‘need’ any and they seem to come down to £50 ish few times a year on the app, so gambled on hoping I’d fine some online this year.

Come on folks…let’s not let this thread drop!
New colour way coming soon…

Yup!!!
You seen the Air Zoom Tempo Next% FlyEase?

These have to be THE ULTIMATE triathlon shoe?

That’s a lot of words to describe a shoe! :joy:

Man they look horrendous though.

Stripper heels?

Did first long run in the Peg 36 Wide Fit and FlyEase, very comfortable, lots of toe room. I was really surprised to find two blisters in new places (top of big toe), but otherwise loved em.

What would you say the FlyEase is like?
Good for triathlon?

Nike’s naming scheme is absolutely terrible.

Quick trainers though.

I would disagree - far better than numbers!
It’s science! And definitely follows a taxonomy;

Nike - the brand (Class)
Air Zoom - the sole (Order)
Tempo - the shoe (Family)
Next% - the iteration (Genus)
FlyEase - the specific type (species)

Nike Zoom Pegasus 36 Turbo

Yeah, but numbers sound awful.

Would you call a car or a bike by a number?

A name needs to evoke some sort of feeling and emotion.

The 2115v2 simply doesn’t do that.
