5th
there was a M60-64 in hot pursuit who came 6th
79.65% age grade, still chasing that elusive 80%
76.7 % today ?!?
Richard declared that he had beaten me on age grading ?!? ( no idea)
He was 4 th and I was 5th he got 78% ish I think
He’s 60 soon ?!? A 20 min 5 k st 60 has to be a thing surely ?!
Making me feel slow gents.
All I could muster was a 21:17 today for 64.6% AG
You have 20 years to get faster !
Enjoy !!
Not sure it works that way if you are fast as a youngster

A guy turns up at worden 4-5 times a year
He’s 60 possibly 61 now?
He runs 18-18:10 ?
90% age grading ?! Is it not simply your age and the time you did ? No idea if the course is taken into consideration?
That one yesterday has to one of the slower courses ?
No, I think it’s just taken against that age group against the 5k world record or something, doesn’t matter whether the course is fast or not.
Couple of regular volunteers at Taunton parkrun are getting married later today. They ran this morning dressed as bride and groom (presumably not in their actual outfits for later) and the announcer dressed as a vicar and sent us off to the Wedding March.
I was originally thinking of going to one of the local fast courses and following a 21 minute pacer but after yesterday’s session and the wind I realised that wasn’t happening ![]()
Went to my usual course and all the pacer slots I could have done were taken so set off with the 23 minute person, with about 1.5k to go I picked up the pace a bit despite my legs protesting
think I came in around 22:35.
I’ve been close the last 2 weeks to 33 seconds which is the only one I need in the stopwatch challenge!
Edit: 3 seconds off
should have started my sprint finish earlier ![]()
Another bad ‘run’ for me at Burnham. Been working on this achillies thing with advice from the physio and it seemed to be working.
Went out with the 27 pacer but calf got tighter again after 2.0km, so I walked the rest for 33:21
How much lower can I sink ![]()
LO ran a 24:10 which felt ‘pretty medium’ apparently ![]()
Worked really hard for 20:11 this morning. About 3.5k in I edged past someone and he hung on to me and said something like “bro, we’ve got this”
I nearly replied that I’m old enough to be his dad!
But I’m guessing you wouldn’t have liked it so much if he said “Pops, we’ve got this”? ![]()
Great running !
@jeffb wouldn’t let that sort of distance stop him doing a ParkRun

His luggage probably wouldn’t make it there with him though! ![]()
Have decided to improve my Wilson Index, so a trip to Welwyn Garden City beckons to pick up a 42 tomorrow.
Fairly flat course so a bit faster than my usual efforts. Also managed to finish in #89 which was one of two that have eluded me so far. Closing in on #400 parkruns, only a few more to go.
Th Lost Gardens of Heligan this morning. First time running with my boys.
Despite taking a tumble and knocking his hip the seven year old did really well. His older brother was keen to crack on but slowing down definitely helped pace him.
Got to be at the front for a quick time as it’s so narrow, pretty hilly too. The boys managed to come home in just under 35 minutes which is quicker than I expected from the little one
