Parkrun

You lot are so predictable. I see it every time my friends daughter runs past people. She’s an ex-pro level tennis player, so has proper strong glutes and she always has a lot of followers at a parkrun.

Inspiring pb”s !!

I was warming down after a PR a few years ago when a marshal called me over. Said she had shouted encouragement at one of the women I was lapping “Now you have to chase him” “I could chase that butt all day” was apparently the reply.

Best compliment I’ve had on my running for a while.

There’s a flip side to this. Especially when cycling - too many times I’ve overtaken a cyclist and just for a split second thought ‘nice bum’ only to look around and see it’s a bloke

Yeah there’s little denying that we do it too. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Just pondering something. LO will get her 100 milestone shirt roughly mid next year. Given that it’s then at least 3yrs before the next shirt and she will grow, can you order a different size for the same milestone?

Yes, now that you pay them you can order what you like as long as you’ve achieved that milestone.

So met up with some friends on Saturday and did Cannon Hill Park, ParkRun. Its in Edgbaston, Birmingham. Nice course, 515 finishers!. I did 22.11 for 66th, though I was 1st M60. However I was overtaken by a guy pushing his child in a buggy!! Also an M70 went 20.57!! (His best as a M70 is 20.01!!!)

Not sure about the quality of bums, either Male or Female. I always have my head down

Came home to find out local park run folded

it’s now 30-40 minutes drive to nearest one. Was thinking of doing one this morning but now will probably just go for a jog round town instead

I went to do Pontefract Parkrun last week but found the surface wasn’t good enough for me to run on, not how I’d remembered it.

Now looking for a flat tarmac course, Doddington Hall looks like it could fit the bill but will also mean a bit of a drive. Might have gone this morning but this wind is not very blade friendly either.

York is on the service road of the racecourse.

Hazelwood Parkrun for me today.

Winter / wet course which was an uninspiring four laps around London Irish’s training ground.

Right calve still not happy despite taking a week off so trotted round.

Lovely morning though, touch windy!

Alphabet tourism for me today at Queen’s in Glasgow.

3 lap course that seemed to be either up or down. Nice little course but the weather is a bit grim.

Jogged round to avoid aggravating the leg in 24:10’ish

Only K, U, I to go :joy: still contemplating Keswick next week.

Edit: 9:30 start up here as well, think it’s a winter schedule and probably still dark on the north coast.

Cold, dark and snowing. I stayed in bed!

25.03 for me with a 13km warm up. 24.53 for LO, she got a stitch in the last km so we slowed it right down.

Isn’t it always 9.30 start in Scotland?

It could be, although I did one in summer once and thought it was 9🤔

Northern Ireland was always 9:30, followed Scotland I believe and it was to help with the winter mornings. But there was one that bucked the trend and started at 9, because it was around football pitches and they wanted everybody cleared off for morning kick-offs. Never quite quick enough to get to the next nearest in time for a 2nd run, and apparently they frowned on that pretty heavily at PR HQ.
