I think they are 7.30 or 8am in Oz.
Bushy / Kingston doubles were really popular NYD when it was 9am and 10am starts and a ~3.5km pleasant run through park/river path between them, but yes I think all are 9am now.
Yes, I know the NYD doubles got cancelled a few years ago and I think you only get one time if you do manage to get 2 events on a day.
Thereâs one on a remote Irish island that starts at 11 so to the ferry or plane can get people there but I donât think thereâs anything nearby to double up with, unless you have a private helicopter or fast boat!
I think thereâs a few other locations that might start later in winter around the world?

By the look of the results, seems they took a pace group to the race.

Thatâs shifting, sub 16 wouldnât guarantee you top 10 either!
I was 5th this morning in a pretty competitive local run. Would have been outside the top 30 in that run, with at least 6 women in front of me.
Some pictures on their facebook feed, it wasnât exactly perfect conditions either, a few in wooly hats and long sleeves. Fancy trainers to the max though.
Heslington is on a bike track
Thanks, that could be a winner.
Another tourist stop for me today. Did Great Salterns in Portsmouth, I had wanted to do Southsea but I left too late and the wind would have been awful tbh.
Enjoyed that course, three laps so a bit congested but a mixture of grass, trail and mud with a few tiny rollers kept it interesting!
Angry calve still present but getting noticeably better. I was back up to around 22 minutes today, last nights booze burning the stomach though
Our local parkrun (Bognor Regis) this morning with MrsF and I sporting Bushy Park Time Trial tees that were handed out for free on Christmas Day in 2006. ![]()
O
Wow, those t-shirts must be fairly rare!
I stayed fairly local and went to Hartlepool, steady 22:21 which was my 40th parkrun this year, plus a few volunteer days.
Wind had really dropped which was nice, about 20 people having a dip in the North Sea as well

Fantastic family turnout for todays Parkrun
Mrs T, son and his gf, daughter and her boyfriend, nephew and Oska
Son came 7th. Winner did 15:38
. Son was pleased with that holding off an elf in the final sprint.
Second place came nephew 3 places ahead of me - couldnât outsprint him in the last 200m - his first Parkrun so kudos earned.
Kudos also earned by daughterâs boyfriend in the Christmas present outfit which was not easy to run in
Course was super muddy including a 50m flooded section which was ârefreshingâ
Total turnout 498 helped by decent warm and dry conditions
Some solid patriarchal work done there @tunster .
Proud day for you
.
Becoming something of a family tradition
Nearly 2500 at Bushy apparently ![]()
Probably thought thereâd be free T-shirtâs ![]()
Wazza had 502. And we had the giant puddle as an added Christmas present.
The suspense is killing me, what happened? ![]()
#48 for me today.
Annoyingly accurate 5km now ![]()

5.04km by the Garmin, for 25:54.
Bye bye ego, hello regular exercise ![]()

Sheâs earned her hot chocolate ![]()

@gingerbongo took the TT honours for team Devon by maybe a minute at a very breezy Seaton Park Run ![]()

Heâs a classy runner, made it look so easy which it really wasnât. Would have been more like 5 minutes without all those sandbags.
Jury still out on the age-adjusted timing, so maybe all is not lost yet for team Dorset ![]()
