Parkrun

At this time of year - very much so! It’s more gravelly in summer but it’s clay mud so turns into an ice rink.

Last Parkrun of the year. Had a minor hamstring issue for past 2 weeks, still been running but keeping things easy and only doing 15k per week. Today no pain all feels good again.

No warmup so had to start slow (I really need to warmup before I can push and pace). First km in 4:24 then next 4 at 4:05 - 20:42, couldn’t go any faster.

Lovely weather in Switzerland, about 4 degrees l, dead calm and sunny

Anyone doing an NYD hangover Parkrun?

I plodded around Bushy today and ended my mini tourist streak in the process.

Currently driving up to Edinburgh, so will take a look at what’s running up there on NYD

Doubt NYD will be a hangover for me but planning to do one. CBA with the local fell race and the course is going to be tricky with all the rain, don’t want to risk setting myself back.

You need to run the same one as today don’t you, so you can see all the people who said “see you next year!”

That’s a long old drive!

I’ll probably do NYD but won’t be hungover.

Doing our traditional New Years Day long run somewhere a bit different - finally got round to heading up to @Doonhamer ’s neck of the woods following a recommendation some time ago!

Offa’s Dyke Path

Castell Dinas Bran

To Worlds End, back along the Eglwyseg cliff tops

Round off with a look at the Pont Cysyllte Acqueduct

About 15 miles I think

I’m going to be marshalling on NYD as I pulled my calf at the end of yesterday’s run and hobbled round parkrun today, so going to be sensible now and rest it.

Note for @JibberJim the NYD Run Director normally starts even more promptly than the one today does. Took me 40s to cross the start line today as I got there slightly late.

Don’t think I’ll be hungover, as I’ve pretty much knocked drink on the head these days. I drink so infrequently that when I do the hangovers after only a small amount are pretty awful, and I then have 3 young kids to deal with in the morning.

I don’t know anything about boxing (sorry @Mungo2 !) but this popped up on my feed.

Is this @poet’s neck of the woods?

Nah. Southport is Merseyside  :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
I’m there quite a lot, but it’s about 50 miles away.

Went to the Wirral instead today :+1:t3:
