Pro Cycling Live - will contain spoilers

Dont get me started. Most of the kids I coach have never seen a professional game, not even on TV.

One of the reasons I like the Hundred in that it opens the professional game to youngsters

Disappointing. Itā€™s only going to encourage people to use a VPN and something likeā€¦

Always liked having it on as background noise when working from home.

Gutted by this, but expected it would happen.

Iā€™m actually really gutted, but cannot afford to fork out Ā£30 per month for a channel that Iā€™ll only watch cycling on.

That page specifically says ā€œPowered by Eurosportā€, so will it still be available in a months time?

I think itā€™s specifically aimed at locations outside of UK/Europe so shouldnā€™t be affected by this change - at least in the short term. Long term who knows?

I havenā€™t tried it myself yet but Iā€™m tempted to give it a go for a month

AlUla Tour Stage 2 was a comedic affair followed by an exciting final 5km.

Was it?
Pisscock 36.5 darting off up the hill?

Utterly meh.

Iā€™ve just been online to cancel discovery and got offered on the final screen 50% off for tnt until 23rd sept. Hopefully that will cover up to the Vuelta.

Been starved of road racing, so yeah I got a bit excited :eggplant::smile:

Disco+ subscription cancelled, but Iā€™ve still got viewing until mid-Feb.

As far as viewing was concerned there were some pretty good race highlights on YouTube, 10min long with 9min of actual bike riding and only 1min of interviews. Was enough for a fairly featureless race, can imagine the drama of a queenā€™s stage would be lost.

Weā€™ve had Eurosport since we first got Sky in about 2000. I usually watch the classics and the Giro and Tour, but Iā€™m not particularly interested in the smaller stage races or the Vuelta.

If I have to pay extra to watch cycling I donā€™t think Iā€™ll bother. The numbers quoted arenā€™t worth it for the amount that I watch.

I suspect a lot of people will be the same and viewing of cycling races will drop off a cliff in this country. That isnā€™t good news for any sponsors that want to target the UK market

Similar time frame as me, got Sky in 2001. I watch tour downunder as its first race of year, classics, the odd short stage like Romandie or basque country, giro, paris nice, TdF and by then Im done. Never really got into Vuelta, maybe its timing. Some stages are good and might make a point of watching, like Asturias or Basque region.
