The Euro champs TT is a cracking race. 3 seconds between top 3 at mid point.
Really enjoyed it. Some great performances.
Nice work by young Sheffield in Denmark too
That TJV train looked ominously powerful.
“From another planet” according to Patrick Lefevre
Rog stamps his authority!
Popular win among his fellow pros judging by the amount of fist bumps & pats on the back he was getting.
They’re going for a different TJV rider in the maillot rojo every day🤣
Snoozefest at the Vuelta so far today
Fred Wright close but no cigar yet again!
FTFY
If I wanted to watch riders do 40kmh on a dual carriageway for 4 hours, I’d watch a 100TT on the A50 Etwall → Blythe Brisge course.
That was much better today.
Nice ride from Remco, now let’s see if he can keep it going.
Carapaz loses 3 minutes, looks like he’s left the team already.
I get to ride the final descent on yesterday’s stage (5) a couple of times at the duathlon champs in 3 weeks time
MTB World Championships currently on BBC iPlayer.
Women’s race currently on, lap 3/6, unfortunately GB don’t seem to be in contention.
Pidcock will be in the mens race.
PFP is so strong at the moment. Barring tragedy I’m not sure there’s anyone close at the moment.
Just as well Pidcock has to start at the back, or it would be over before it’s started.
Along with the raft of retirees yesterday, Yates & Sivakov are out with covid today.
They both did ok on the TT yesterday despite it then.
That’ll hurt Bike Exchange’s points at the end of the Vuelta then.
Aiii.
Poor old Ala not looking good today. Awful season for him and the rainbow Jersey going at the end of Sept as well.
Not a spoiler, but Domenico Pozzovivos.
The camera motorbike has caught him towards the rear of the peleton the last couple of days. He must truly love cycling as the results of his injuries can clearly be seen in the way he carries himself on the bike. He’ll earn no points for style, but what a guy.
Good Vuelta stage today
