Challenge Vieux Boucau tracking, if anyone interested. All the expected names in the first group of 4 on the swim/bike start, Brownlee, Bogen, Royle, Margirier. Tracker is a bit rubbish, but functional.

Decent field in Portugal as well, Amberger with a 42 minute swim, seems a bit fast? Lange 44 as well.
Not sure what’s happening to Bartlett, well off the pace and I think she’d be higher. Maybe a tracker problem or mechanical?

She is moving up now though.
The 70.3 swimmer’s set off 30mins after the full competitors, so assuming the full competitors do 2 laps of the 70.3 bike course that should lead to an almighty draft-fest.

So what’s the summary? I’m finding it very hard to pick through the posts. Laidlow girlfriend’s joked about him “and his hormones” and so someone reported him? She must be pretty upset too.

Brief summary
RVBs mother may have accused Sam of taking hormones after Kona
Sam’s GF Fiona made a joke that Sam and his hormones did really well in Kona - possibly in response to rumors spread by RVB family
Joke/comment was overheard by French athletes
RVBs dad sent email to ITA, which sighted Fiona’s comment as evidence, he listed names of athletes who heard it. I assume that his complaint also contained more compelling evidence
ITA launched an investigation - we have no idea about outcome or what stage the investigation is at
Laidlow announced he is under investigation, he says that RVB should face a ban if he made the complaint without evidence and he attacked his friends who the ITA interviewed.
No one knows why Laidlow went onto social media
As I said previously Kona was a hotbed of rumors - I didnt hear specific names, maybe this is the origin. I sort of assumed that the rumors were directed more at Norwegian athletes

Sam lives and trains on the French side of the Pyrenees, so only an hour or so away from the clinic in Spain.
Guy on ST came pretty close to accusing Frodeno as he also uses this clinic

Someone on ST mentioned he missed the lane coming into T2, kept going, and lost a load of time. Made a lot back, but still over 8 mins down at the end.

Skipper did Leeds 10K today and finished in 31:06, but only just made it into the top 40!
TBF, he’d probably kill most of the rest of them on the bike and swim.
It’s a fast course so usually gets a good field.

I think that RvB senior is a dangerous enemy, very rich and very invested in his son’s success, and probably very smart. It’s highly unlikely that he went to ITA without something pretty compelling.
