I thought he finished 3rd at MSR in a bunch sprint?

I apologise, I meant to put it in the cycling thread.
Saw HK highlights
Who is Rainier? She looked so much better shape than 2nd Zaferes and 3rd place US
Nener 3rd Mens had a decent English accent for a JPN representative, do we know his history?
Ah the stronger field was in Portugal that weekend. Milner sub 30 run to victory.
I’m lost with the various leagues - where does the european tri fit with WTC and PTO?
WTCS
World Cup
Continental Cup
Hong Kong was a World Cup and Quarteira was a Conti Cup. So Hong Kong had more ranking points, more prize money, and (in theory) a higher quality field
I think he grew up in Australia
Her run was spot on. As you say looked great when she pulled away towards the end compared to the other two. This is a big big result for her (triathlon.org page) - although I see she got an 8th at ITU (yes I know they have a new name) in Hamburg a couple of years ago.
Her other half is triathlete Tom Bishop. I hear her mentioned a bit as he’s part of the 1x podcast (The 1x Podcast<!-- --> - Hosted by Jack Schofield, Tom Bishop & Sam O’Shea) which I really enjoy for nonsense chit-chat with a bit of a triathlon twist. Jack Schofield is the man behind the lens for Ruth Astle/Indie Lee. I’d have a beer with them - although they are at least 20 years younger than me ![]()
Sian is another one of the British women who will be making things difficult for the Paris team selectors this year.
He refers to struggles the last six years which is when he switched to represent Japan, the podium clearly meant a lot. ![]()
Interesting.
Fingers crossed for women’s triathlon at Paris, I fear they may be carrying the weight of investment in British triathlon for the next few years on their shoulders.
Thinking long course coverage I’m going to be annoyed if Lucy isn’t fit for Nice. I don’t know how her recovery is going from Kona, but all those late night second places I want to see her cross the line in normal time …with champagne preferably😄
hasn’t she said she’s not racing Nice?
Doh
Ironman pro race series promo video… WTF does the voiceover guy sound like! Trying to make it sound more exciting that it is (having said that, I will try and watch some of the Oceanside race in a couple of weeks as the field will be huge and it’s only a 70.3).
80 MPROs, proper slugfest in the swim, draftfest on the bike.
Run will be interesting as series points are seconds from the winner. Everyone interested in series points will gun it to the line.
And Lionel.
I’ll be tuning in…
Impressive. Oceanside has had a couple of good races in recent years too.
Found the url to watch next week and the rest of the season:
Fenella Langridge led out the swim. Taylor Knibb close behind but spending ages in T1 getting socks on and sorting herself out.
Men’s race has a couple of folk I’ve never heard of up front. Lionel about 90 seconds back. Skipper 49th out of the swim and 3:40 back.
Was just about to post that it was on live stream now, I thought it would be tomorrow.
Good start by Fenella. Will watch more after swimming.
I’d prefer to watch it on YouTube on my TV via my fire stick but instead I need to plug a laptop into the TV which is a pain fiddling around with HDMI cables.
Oh, and there’s no RaceRanger on the bikes as they had technical issues which is a big shame.
