Ironman need to make the numbers on the bike smaller. You can still just make out what the number is.

Knibb riding 2mph quicker than everyone else, now has a minute lead over Fenella
I do wish they had more timing mats on the bike leg. I also wonder if they could get a GPS transmitter into the race ranger units to then make visualising what’s going on so much better.

no RR today - last minute change as they couldn’t get the new firmware to work properly. James (RR CEO) won’t be happy as I know how much work he puts into the project.

I’m a bit amazed he’s dropped Laundry, not so much Long. Particularly as both Sanders and Laundry bridged up to the lead.

Any of you understand the scoring? On ST someone quoted Skipper as saying he loses point every second back from the winner.
If that’s the case isn’t the women’s series over(!)

Winners’ points will be allocated as follows for designated IRONMAN Pro Series events:

- Points for all remaining professional finishers will diminish based on the time deficit to first place at a rate of 1 point per 1 second deficit to first place finish time. There is no points minimum, or “floor”.
- For example, at an IRONMAN event where first place earns 5,000 points, if a pro finishes 2 minutes, or 120 seconds, behind the first-place finish time, then he/she will earn 4,880 points. (5000 points minus the 120 second deficit = 4880 points.)

Sounds fairly similar to the AWA scoring? But if someone is a full distance specialist and wins a couple it is season over?

Well, well. I held the candle for him longer than most Brits, but I’ll admit I’d written him off.
Lesson learned. Shit loads of swimming and you’ll beat them on foot.
