Pro race chat (Tri)

Yup, and nothing about Jasmine :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Unless she gets a special award :man_shrugging:t2:

A chuffing darts player

This is what ladbrokes.com is saying right now…

I was going to sat it’ll be Luke littler. Young “normal” kid done good. Being a Warrington resident, not sure what I think about that.

Would love it to be Yee but given past neglect I can’t see triathlon getting any recognition now

Littler I think deserves it based on relative impact on their sports. He’s massively elevated Darts in this country within a year.

But yeah - heard to argue again that Jasmin Paris is not the actual deserved winner.

Guessing the 70.3 WC is off peoples radar due to the time zone, doubt we’ll see any of it. I should look at the pro field.

I do know an age grouper who is there though.

Starts at 6pm uk time Friday and Saturday so not bad at all really, although the men’s race will clash with Strictly final which MrsF will be watching.

I’ve got a couple of clubmates racing too.

I’m getting my times wrong and I guess they’ll be starting at 7am’ish local time

That’s good, might get a lot of the pro race in.

6 from my Aus tri club going, keen to follow. Assuming it’s the same bike course I did it’s an unexciting false flat out and back, but potential for large wind difference could shape the race. Was a light wind day when I did it and I was still ~8kph different average speed. Tailwind out, headwind back to town

25 minutes till the start of the ladies race. Weather looks pretty good. Must be a light breeze as the lake is showing quite a few ripples.

I’ll get to see the first 45 minutes, then I’m out for dinner then might do a catch-up when I get home unless too much wine has been consumed.

Nice
Thanks

I had a place on the start line; I broke my foot in Kona in 2 places, and missed both Kona and this.

Friends of mine did Kona then straight onto NZ where they’ve been since and will race today and tomorrow. Not a bad little 2 centre trip :grinning:
