Still working on my pull-ups, although generally took it easy this week - think Winter blues are getting to me…Anyway
Tues: 6, then 3x2
Thurs: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Also did a 1:45 plank. Thought I’d be better actually, but there you go - obviously need to work on my core. I have to be cautious doing planks though, otherwise I get inflammation around my rib.

I’m up to 3 minutes on the plank now. The last 30 seconds is like some sort of torture

Got up to 2 mins today - my legs got tired  No pull-ups climbing later, might see what I can do after climbing.

I’m still working on my pull-ups, latest high point was 7. However, to get to 10 by the end of the year I’ll need to loose weight - well that’s not going to happen over the next few days :joy: Probably healthier / more sensible to build up strength in 2024.

Finally got the time to get this baby set up

No comments about a messy garage please - about to accommodate 11 for Christmas and so a lot of food/shit which is usually dumped in other rooms is now dumped in the garage.

Scores so far:

Son - 8 with a 10kg weight vest on (show off)
Me - 1 (a low bar for improvements in 2024)
Wife - 0
Son’s girlfriend- 0

My money is on my 15 year old nephew who is arriving tonight - skinny as a rake and does a lot of climbing

erm, don’t do that flex, as it’s clearly a very tidy garage…

If the ladies can’t do pull-ups yet, they could start with negative pull-ups. They get into the top pull-up position and lower themselves down as controlled as they can. Also, found this video for you.

I’ve contracted my daughter’s Christmas lurgy. I was blowing after only 20 press-ups earlier. I will be medicating before I take my Son to the shops in a bit.

Hope you feel better soon :crossed_fingers:

12 in one go is a good score.
It’s a great exercise, don’t forget to change the grip around, over under wide narrow etc.

If you can’t do one doing them on a box so the legs can help is also a good start, heavier people and folk with really big legs seem to struggle for obvious reasons but mindset, regularity and in paticular perseverance is key.
