Gotta give huge props to LCB. My Little One is a huge LCB fan and she’s always asking which races she’s in and watching YT clips, she loves her.
I wrote to Team CB and sent them a pic of her fan, mentioned she was getting a new bike for her birthday on Boxing Day and I got a lovely reply. A few weeks later, a envelope turned up with various pictures and postcards and a lovely hand written birthday message to Little One.
LCB is the type of charater required to bring more attention to triathlon, she is an inspiration to younger athletes, and much more exciting, open and social than some other triathletes
I have the odd glance but it’s been really dull. There was a time when this place was really quiet and I was reading ST quite a lot but that seems to have reversed since the new forum.
It hasn’t been the same since the cull a couple of years ago. Although some of those guys were d1cks they did generate some of the best discussions and had a lot of knowledge if could filter out the carp. Coggan, Pubes, H2O (waterboy or whatever they called him)
I gave on ST after that thing with the runner they hounded who then committed suicide. I dont mean they necessarily drove the man to it, but I think they contributed and there was almost no self reflection on their part on what they could have done better.
With regard to Seiller, I do think a lot of people have read or heard what he’s talking about rather than really looking into what he’s actually saying. ETA what he’s actually saying isn’t really any different to the classic endurance coaches he’s just saying look at actual data that shows Lydiard was right (IMHO).
cut the course or something equally worth a high profile public flogging. It’s why i don’t like those marathon hunters whatever they are called. If someone cheats they are only cheating themselves generally. so what if some bloke went 3:29 on a marathon and should have done 5 hours
