IMJ is so fun… I have never received so many positive messenger posts, including a load from coaches.

Apparently Rsymodo isn’t well received. However I wonder if his Trumpesq style is well received amongst a significant population of gun smoking ST loyalists?

Sure he will learn loads in his echo chamber. Then again he already knew it all in '96.

I don’t think STers are his target crowd; he prays on the uninitiated instafools; people who like sound bites.

I remember him talking about the build up to that race and he said he was time crunched so the average weekly hours in the 6 months before it was only (something like) 26 hrs/wk. :eyes:

26 hours; that’s practically pro hours tbh. What’s his day job?

He basically priorotises if going for a big goal, but would then not do a big race for a while (years). He came back for one last race to attempt to go sub 8 . He runs his own company but essentially put it on the ticking over mode for a few months and no attempt to grow for a year. He made me laugh with the be home by 12 on Saturday after long rides/brick and would have the kids there and wife walking out the door “your turn” like us normal blokes  he talks of balance and admitting you cant have any if going fast and long , its job / family / training and nothing else. It was refreshing to hear.

Did he have kids when he went really fast at Kona? IIRC his wife was pregnant with their first child. But he did say he was time crunched AND averaged 26 hrs/wk. Seems like training was crunching his time. I think at the time he was coaching Bozzoni and was training with him a lot. May have been a part time academic at the time too?

Kona not sure if he had kids then, 2018 wasnt it?, would make sense, did Kona, then had kids and after a few years wanted to scratch one last itch before he got too old. Avged 21hrs in the article i see in 2018, still a lot!

Has the knobhead coach been kicked? Saw something about someone has been removed and his post was still on the Fb page but said ‘former member of…’

He’ll be on here soon to tell everyone how it’s done😂

Todays IMJ FB question “ How do you become a coach?” certainly has the potential for amusing reading as the day goes on.

You have to go sub-9 at an IM of course, duh.

I’m abstaining from FB so it’d be great to see the best responses pasted here

A Guardian writer that’s full of self entitled shit, coloured me not shocked
Sad thing is I really liked KC, she and Andy Baddely were the only ones that added any legitimacy to that sham of a channel. Well, maybe only Andy on revision!
