I’ve joined 2x and left 2x in short order. Might have another go and see if I can leave 3x.

By definition he’s not a Cowboy. He’s not tending to cattle or horses. He doesn’t live on a ranch.
By definition he’s not doing Ironman’s.
The name is entirely wrong. James should change his name to Social Media Influencer who Swims, Bikes, and Walks All Day instead of Working. Or maybe even better, PT Barnum of Triathlon.
Cow milk, cow milk, cow milk.
That is all.
Edit: I used to like soya milk but it does weird things to my gut and bloats me
No I got banned and I still dont know why
- The only thing that works for cramp is walking & massage.
- You generally have to be at running speed to develop cramp in the first place.
yer gotta think of those almond trees man, killing the planet. Oat milk is actually quite nice, just cant bring myself to use it on porridge, oats with oats
the sports scientist “coach” guy actually commented on the cramps and got shot down, like what does he know
Since yesterday?
Phil Ellison is a quality athlete and his Word Document about how to train for IMUK is brilliant.
It answers nearly every question people post!!!
Why people don’t look in FILES when they’re looking for the GPX of the course astounds me
@Jorgan - Magnesium spray works for cramps. “…I was really cramping and some athlete stopped and sprayed me with some…after 30 seconds the cramp had gone and I was running again…”
Yeah mate, nothing to do with relaxing the muscle by stopping, giving it a bit of a run and rest break, then starting again slowly
“…,Big gear work in the aero bars and more riding or running is the way to go…”
Nah. Sounds like work that.
Now, where’s that Amazon link, again?

Crampfix 50ml Flip-Top Lid Squeeze Bottle - Fast & Effective Relief from Muscle Cramp (Raspberry)
This is why I’ve had cramp issues over the years in longer events; my legs can’t manage what my mind and over-developed heart are asking of them
As I like to say… my chassis can’t cope with the engine. Much of that is just (lack of) long mileage or going too hard on the bike.
You won’t get far on IMJ admitting to your past failures
YOU GOT THIS BRO
Oh no, Im on IMJ_UK and IMJ_Wales but not been on IMJ for 3 years, There was a mass cull when a group kept trolling Iron Rookie and that other “legend” who got stuck in the only rip tide in Lanzarote swimming parallel to the beach I think becasue i was in another “ironman uncensored” group with them that everyone in that group was banned but cant be sure as when i messaged the guy to ask he blocked me, and then so did “Janet”
But I do got it; with nearly 7h to spare .
The problem with a lot of people is they are not objective/realistic/self effacing about themselves.
I know someone coached by him also, sounds like he has a decent well rounded view and isnt coaching people based on his own experiences but properly. Decent guy.
That reminds me must go and pick up my 50p Oat Flat White from Costa today!
No really, pickle juice or whatever really tricks your neurological pathways
he’s Total Tri Training, who coach a few members of my running club
And a rather fast dentist who sometimes visits us on here.
They seem good.
BUT…nobody listens to him
Like @jorgan says, they Can’t admit they might not finish.
I don’t understand the “15 months of training if I defer” either?
For 12 months, you’re simply exercising to be able to train for those final 13 weeks!
I don’t feel like I’m “training” at the minute.
Just doing some SBR.
Maybe in May, I might!
RE: Cramps. Hammerer did mention not to underestimate the placebo affect on the Facebook thread. But not for £9
that was me being kind but it is true the mind is quite powerful, give me a tenner and I’ll give you a bean that will cure all cramps
Have you seen their increased presence at Pickmere? I think the days of free access there will be diminishing pretty quickly. Looks great but slight competitor to my partner and his business, so I approach with caution
I’m not advocating it, but @Poet 's Cocodamol is probably a better solution than cramp stuff. But opioids are a slippery slope.
I tried it once on a long training run, and yeah I was surprised to look down and see how high my HR was for my low RPE. I didn’t risk it on race day.
