As per the Zwift thread I made it, 509.9K, I’d have rounded it up if I’d known. All done from the dryness of my garage, but my god it’s boring!

At least this has given me some motivation to train the last week.

I do need to man up though, but this is the third time I’ve done it

Anyone else signing up for this again? I think I might have seen Adam & Wheezy?

I’ll have to see how it goes, wasn’t really running last Christmas and it was all on Zwift.

YUP!!!

I’ll be doing it a week early, as I’m off from 20th Dec, reckon I can get it 500km by Christmas Eve.

Then maybe chance my arm and do it again the following week :see_no_evil::rofl:

EDIT: Damn it!

Indoor rides still count.
Erm. No. They do not.
Neither do Southern Hemisphere rides.

@adam - I hope that dark green Rapha polo neck is still working?

Snow? That can FRO this year :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::sob:
440km in five days for me last year.
Beaten by the snow on New Years Eve :sob:

Yeah signed up.

Got the week in-between Christmas and New Years off.

Working on Christmas Eve and planning on getting up early for some Regents Park laps to hopefully get up to 100km day one

Yeah got the purple and green ones - they’ve been deployed this week!

Yeah, my annual sign up and then I struggle to ride 50km, let alone 500 :no_good_man:t2: I might see if I can get a couple of big days out, but all weather dependent.

Not this year. The roads will be busier than last, we have visitors over Christmas…& I’m not as motivated :unamused:.

Hopefully the weather will be kind for you guys :+1: .

After this morning’s run I’m thinking of doing my own bastardised Festive 500 whereby I’ll do a running Festive Everest.

I’ll try & accumulate 9948mtrs of running/walking ascent in the same time period you guys do your cycling.

Not sure if it’s achievable, but it should help regulate my booze intake & - barring injury - set me up for 2022.

I think @gingerbongo among others could get on board this.

If it helps, I’m pretty sure that’s 1,100m more than Everest is!

Typo, eh :see_no_evil:

8848mtrs is much more achievable :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Why not just do the Bob Graham or something :man_shrugging:t2::joy:

I’m signed up, but we’re away in a hotel for Christmas and we only head back to London on the 28th, so unless the hotel gym has something like a Wattbike that I can log some early kms on I’ll only have 3 days to do it.

I don’t think I’m motivated enough to clock up 500km in 3 days in December for a virtual badge.

Unfortunately (fortunately) for me that would be nigh on impossible around Xmas time with the family. There’s no way i’d find the time to get out.

I’ve got a couple of mates trying to hit the Everest elevation during the month of Dec, and that’s taking up a fair bit of their time! It’s hard down here as, although it’s hilly, they’re all small hills so require lots of repping or really convoluted routes. Would be much easier in the Lakes or Snowdonia or something to be able to tage 4-500m+ climbs. The max we can really get in the immediate vicinity is about 150m.
