Don’t think Poet would rise to a maggot. He seems more like the delicately tied, perfectly presented fly type to me.
Nice one Jeff. Yeah you can’t seem to see the leaderboards on any of the challenges anymore
Looking at the comments on Strava there is no leader board this year & the die hard bores are fuming
Also probably best not to mention the lack of a wee embroidered roundel this year

I think for last years Rapha basically said it was too much trouble for them to produce them anymore. You may have had to pay around a tenner iirc?
A digital badge is much easier, and now they are owned by an investment fund I suspect they are under pressure to make more ££
I think saying they are owned by an investment fund doesn’t tell the whole story. The fund is owned by the two guys that are heirs to the Walmart fortune but are keen cyclists themselves (IIRC).
I’d be surprised if this is your typical pump and dump but could be wrong.
Yes, good point, I’d forgotten about that, but even so, if they’d said there’ll be 10k badges available but you’ll need to pay £5 for P&P.
Problem is probably that a lot will be overseas.
I got one of their Rapha rising patches. Think that was 2017 and the last year they did that too
Day 5 393km / 500km
That was grimAF.
Had to wait an hour for the roads to thaw, so actually set off in daylight today.
That was bloody freezing.
Some days it’s lovely to be out on the bike.
Today was not one of them.
Here’s a Rapha poster boy shot for you haters
Well done mate, you got it done

Glad you edited out the bottom half of that shot!
2 poo’s!?
Blimey bomb doors open, no turning back.
Every day just about.
Two in the AM and that’s me done for the day.
Mexican sets me off, had to abandon a swim before for that
Blimey. At least you’re efficient.
Mind you, my mate has horrific problems, it’s incredibly stressful.
He is obsessed in dropping the kids off before his morning run (he’s been caught out before in a high profile incident). If he can’t go three times, for whatever reason, he’s literally thinking about it the entire way round.
Sometimes, he might go three times, and feel like it is not enough.
Never ending cycle of hilarious, troubled thinking.
Yeah, it’s a thing.
If he has IBS it can be really bad.
You should be nicer to his need to go
So back on topic
v61k to get me within sight on the finish line.
64km left to do tomorrow. Warm up, Alpe TTT and the roll back down after hopefully gets me done.
Now that we’re under house arrest again I’m wondering if I could do a short ride in the morning then up and down the Alpe to see me home later.
Think it would also get me the 5* badge
Are the TriTalk team doing the TTT tomorrow?
We’ve gone for the 10.20am window to get it done early. Aspirational target for me is to try to do the climb in just under 50mins which works out at approx 4w/kg.
No, I don’t think so. TRO is in with another group, but you’ll probably see laid on the floor at turn 2
Warm up, “join rider at top of alpe”, stop, “join rider at top of alpe”, stop … you’ll soon knock it off.
