Interesting new shoes with the single spray on design. Whether it’s marketing or genuine they really seem to have upped their focus on performance the past 2 years.
My good mate who manages a running shop and this year has ran a 17:15 5km and sub 35 min 10k aged 50, loves On running shoes.
I tried a pair briefly but was not that convinced…this was a couple of years ago and i might give them another shot…
I have two pairs in my “collection “
One are pure casual only
The other has elastic laces in, when I had Achilles issues all last year they “ seemed” as comfortable as any of the others if not more so.
Wore them for park run and a 5 k tri run this year.
They seem half a size bigger than they should be.
There certainly very comfortable
Mrs FB has used ON running shoes for some years and wouldn’t have anything else now. I had a pair but didn’t get on with them.
Tried ON RUNNING Shoes ,Not for me Afraid ,only shoes bought in a long way that gave me blisters .They next to the pair of Newtons i tried a few years back
I tried a couple of pairs, back at the start when they were the only ones doing the 30day free trial thing. I did really like them, but baulked at the price - back then £125 for a pair of trainers was mental. Oh how times have changed.
They were a tiny bit too narrow for my weird feet though, so i didn’t ever go back to them; but i do recall enjoying one pair, but not another (just checked Strava and i had them back in 2017 - I liked the Cloudsurfer but didn’t like the Cloudrush).
Can’t say i have any understanding of their range any more either. They released a LOT of models in the last decade!!!
In a bid to do a little bit of running over the winter, I’ve deviated from my normal purchase of Hoka Cliftons and just bought a pair of Karhu Fusion shoes. Super comfortable and very supportive of my stupid high arches. Looking forward to giving them a proper road test.
@jeffb which model Nike road shoe did you get & return pretty sharpish a month or so ago…& what was the issue?
I think @Poet had the same problem.
I’ve tagged you in another post on the purchases thread.
Not mine !
But been offered some at a very good price
BNIB.
Anyone got some ?
The reviews all sponsored by Nike are brill … who knew ?!
Zoom max 6 … I think ?
They look similar to the ones myself and poet had problems with, but they must be alright for a lot of people.
I think they are the new Zoom Fly 6.
The previous versions had gone steadily downhill from the ZF2 that I think a lot of us here picked up. This is supposed to be a bit of a return to form, lighter and more like the training version of the VaporFly that it is supposed to be.
Cheers @jeffb I picked up a pair of ASICS Kayano 87s…or whatever iteration they’re on nowadays
That’s them
140? On offer apparently
Been offered a size 10 pair unused for 30 quid cheaper again ?!
There a bit “ high “ ?!?
Not sure I’d use them, or any of the high stack shoes, for gym work. Should be good for running, although designed for faster tempo or workouts, there are probably better and cheaper shoes for day-to-day runs.
If it’s gym work and a bit of running the Nike Free Run 11s and 12s were going fairly cheap if you search around. Ones I saw on sportshoes for £54 are gone though.
I’m looking at some Peg Trail 5s at £65…in white. Will write a letter to Mrs Christmas.
Love my peg trails!
I have a pair of these curtesy of work and I like them. A lot better than v4 and an improvement on v5. They are my mileage shoe for this year
