You still a Ranelagh? I was a member probably from 2007 until 2014 when I moved away. Still got my club vest and saving it as I want to run one of the mob matches again someday.
Afraid not. My dad is. He rejoined a few years ago. There’s still a few members there from my time as a junior.
Who’s had their ballot emails?
Not yet!
Have you had something?
Not yet
I’ve had my entry since 2019 - multiple deferrals thanks to injury then Covid. My friends with GFA places have had theirs. Others not yet.
Ah sorry yes. You’ve had the ultimate deferral process!
I couldn’t run with my place from this year so did the online withdrawal in order to defer, do they just send an email at some point confirming you’ve got a slot for the next one and you need to pay the entry free to secure it?
Yes I think so. So long ago now I can’t remember. Will try and dig through my emails to see what it was.
So in 2019 I deferred at the start of April for the race at the end of April. That said I’d get the link for a “guaranteed entry” by the start of June that needed completion by mid-June for the race in April 20. So I suspect you’ll get the updated entry link once all the ballot mess is out the way.
splendid
I got my customary ‘No’. Think that’s something like 16 in a row, almost enough to make me feel unwanted
Sounds like some of the country folk here in West Dorset. Except they normally say “never again, there was nowhere to tie my horse” or something similar.
and the gloves they sell don’t have enough fingers
haha, to be clear i meant London Marathon.
But, no i’m not a city fan.
No-one is, that’s why they call it the Emptihad
ETA - braced for incoming list of all the teams with City as their suffix.
I haven’t even had the rejection email yet. They’re probably fed up of sending me the same thing every year.
Exeter for one, but @gingerbongo would still call that the big smoke.
Same; I was just on a call and I mentioned that I was waiting on an answer… The other guy asked the very sensible question “Do you actually want to do it?” and given that I hesitated for as long as I did the answer may be no, but I enter every year so of course I entered again!
