I’m from a line of Protestants and seafarers.
Not a mine in sight.
Plenty of fish and potatoes, mind.

As a YamYam it’s definitely Breakfast, Dinner & Tea (supper would be a snack before bedtime)
Correct answer, though now I live in the home counties people get confused when I call the midday meal dinner and tea is just something to drink, unless it’s high tea when it comes with sandwiches or cream tea when it comes with scones. It’s all very confusing really.
192 cm tall and 72.5 kg. Could stand to loose a kilo but no more. Really I’d like to swap 1 kg fat for 1 kg muscle and see how FTP W/kg improves. Was down to 71.5 kg after yesterday’s sauna but that’s just cheating
Not got anywhere near what I planned for this year, but I do seem to be on track again. Day to day its still yo yoing, but the trend is at least in the right direction. A long way from my “goal” however, which was my pre-Copenhagen weight last year.
The addition of cycling seems to help a lot. I think when just running, the training leaves me more noticeably drained and I end up binging to compensate. I can ride long and not feel the need to gorge immediately after, despite having burnt a shed load of calories.
The early season trough was pre-London marathon. I wonder if this was part of the problem and why I kept getting ill, namely ramping training whilst in a calorie deficit. One thing I picked up on one of the recent Brian Fogarty interviews was how he said when in the “off season” his main focus was not putting on weight, due to the issues associated with increasing training loads whilst also trying to shift weight.
I think I’m going to be mindful of that going forwards, and stop channelling my inner Ricky Hatton
Back at 185lbs
Was 177lbs in the week leading into Outlaw, so that’s 8lbs in three weeks
The way I’ve been going over the last month, I would bet on my trend being similar (but in kgs obviously! )
Eschewed a run last night again in favour of apple crumble!
19th August 2018 I was 194.8lbs, so it ain’t all bad
Lbs are easier to work out calorie deficit.
This time last year I was 72kg after consistent training for Aberfeldy 70.3.
This year I’m at 75.7 after little or no training since that 70.3! Time to get back on it.
I’m a simple fella…
If I’m over 71kg I diet, train hard, eat well…
69.9…,
Chocolate heaven, speed dial fast food, nom nom non nom
I’ve been 70… something all year…
I could probably get down a lot lower but … hey this is fun right…?!?
Am holding steady at 123kg. Definitely goi g to start losing some. Day 13 of no booze, time to ditch the chocolate and ice cream now.
First day back at work after 3 weeks holiday in the last 4 weeks. 103kg, I’d like to say I’m going to knuckle down but birthday & bank holiday next weekend would probably scupper that so September it is then.
Wow, you must be a beanpole
Hmm… Running and Climbing up hills is definitely easier when you lose weight.
Am 187cm
Was 106kg at the start of the year.
Down to 92kg. Briefly hit 89kg around IM Frankfurt. Aiming to get to and stay under 88kg for a while.
Am spending 4 days cycling in the Pyranees middle of September and would love to be as light as possible.
Have no idea how light I can go, but would be interested to see if I could get below 80kg for Triathlon X next June…
73kg but I’m a short arse (176cm). I really need to get to 70 again. Though I did hit 66 two years ago and felt awful.
Continued steady progress for me. I like the trending line from withings. It helps to cut through the daily noise.
Three days into a lower carb higher veg diet and I’m suffering headaches… doh. Body just used to training and eating.
70kg and 173cm. I’m trying to build strength so eating quite a lot. Its a balancing act. I was 67kg last July for Castle Howard. Hope to get stronger and stay below 70kg…
Only put on 0.5kg in the four weeks not training/holidaying so fairly happy with that.
Yeah I’ve not put as much weight on as expected. About 73.5 despite terrible diet, not much exercise etc. But I certainly feel like shit!
Going to head down to parkrun tomorrow and get the smash in the face from reality as to how far I’ve slipped back in the last couple of months!
Anything under 18 will work for me!
